They're odd at times, though. My mom is rather unpredictable at times. I'm never really sure what she is going to do.

I'd feel terrible, though. I love my dad, and he just gets a little grumpy sometimes. Other than that he is a really great guy. He already thinks I'm not proud of him and I would never want to hurt him.

Yeah. The dads make the moms feel like crap, and the moms make the daughters feel like crap. Woo. Lovely cycle.

She will start crying and I'll have to hug her and calm her down. On a few occasions I have yelled at my father, telling him to knock his shit off and stop yelling at her.

Yeah, I don't tend to let her yell at me much...I have a tendency to yell back. ^^;;

I actually just avoid him when he is throwing his tantrums. He gets really mean and throws stuff and cusses none-stop. I have to help my mom a lot because he'll make her really sad because he'll say mean stuff.

lol Thats awesome! I would love to say that to my dad when he is throwing his tantrums, but I know he would probably suddenly feel really awkward and avoid talking the rest of the day. o_o

My mom is 40ish, so thats probably what she is going through. :gonk:
I don't wanna deal with a mid-life crisis. They get really dramatic.

And my dad tends to be a hypocrite and pretty mean at times.
So, he kind of makes us all mad, but other than that is a big sweet teddy bear. lol

I think they go on these domanence trips where they feel like they have to prove they are the adult and the "higher" one in the family. Especially because we are getting older and more independent.

My mom has been just making up excuses recently to yell at me. I could just forget to put a lid back on something and she'd rant at me for an hour.
