You should watch it again! Shame on you for not knowing these parts! XD Well, to be fair I certainly don't know everything. So yeah. XD
Uhhh. So yeah. Sarah donates her ring to the Wise Man, and she and Hoggle go on their way.
"Why did you tell him I was your friend?" Hoggle asked.
"Because you are. You're not much of one, but you're the only friend I've got in this place."
"I've never been anyone's friend before..."
ROOOAAAR.
"RUN!" Hoggle shouted as he began to do just that. Sarah caught him and tried to stop him.
"Hoggle!" She cried angrily. "Are you my friend or not?"
"No! No I'm not! Hoggle doesn't need anyone but Hoggle!"
"HOGGLE!" Sarah yelled as the dwarf finally made his getaway. Turning back to where the roar came from, she muttered, "Well, I'm not afraid. Things aren't always what they seem to be, in this place."
Okay. Starting after they escape from the Cleaners!
---
"Ah, here we are," Hoggle said cheerfully, getting up from where he'd fallen. "A ladder. Follow me." And with that, he began to climb.
"Wait a minute!" Sarah protested. "Why should I follow you when you're only going to lead me back to the beginning?"
"I only said that to fool Jareth."
"Hoggle, how I can I trust anything you say?"
"Well, let's put it this way. What choice have you got?"
Sarah shrugged. "You're right." She began to climb up after Hoggle, who then proceeded to try and justify his actions.
A crystal ball rolled past them, to land in a beggar's tin cup. "Oh, what have we got here?" The beggar asked.
Hoggle threw out his arms as if he could stop the beggar from seeing Sarah. "Oh, erm, nothing!" He lamely exclaimed.
"Nothing?" The beggar returned in an all-too-familiar voice. "NOTHING? Nothing, tra la la?!" With that the beggar stood, threw off his guise, and was presented before them as the Goblin King. He shook his hat at Hoggle in anger.
"Your Majesty!" Squeaked Hoggle.
"Hogbrain," Jareth returned. "You weren't trying to HELP this girl, were you?"
"Oh, no, the CLEANERS!!" Hoggle shrieked, turning to run.
"What?!" Sarah cried, backing away before turning to flee as well.
The two rushed down the tunnel, until they came to a dead end. Sarah noticed a loose panel in the wall and began to push at it. Hoggle joined her, the Cleaner coming ever closer, until finally they fell through, just in time for the Cleaner to pass by.
