I was a bridesmaid two years ago for my cousin's wedding. It was so much fun, you're gonna have a blast. So many relatives were there that hadn't seen me in years and they were all "You're so grown up!" I have to admit the dress was really, really flattering. How we did it was we were given specific colors, and then the maid of honor (another cousin, the brides sister) and the other bridesmaids all went out together on a day long dress hunting thing. We wound up at a bridal shop, and we tried on tons (and I mean TONS) of dresses, including ones we knew we wouldn't ever actually get because they were either too showy, or ugly, or whatever, but the point was that we had a lot of fun doing it. I even tried on 3 wedding dresses. My cousing actually teared up when she saw me in it, and made me promise that she would be asked to be a bridesmaid when I got married. That was kinda cool. Anyway, see if you can all go out as a group to get the dresses. It'll be fun, and a lot less stressful for you cause you'll know that you'll wind up with something flattering, and appropriate.
