They'll not let her out till the specialist has finished with her and she won't accept anyone living in her house. My uncle already lives there and she's always refused to have those carers that just come in once a day.
My Grandma's niece has been on to the social services lady and had a go at her because the nurses keep telling my Grandma she'll never walk again unless she goes to Shirehill because she said she doesn't want to go and it's upsetting her so Paula has told her that if any of them say that to her again she's going to seek legal advice because they're deliberately upsetting her and if they keep saying it to her she won't try because they'll have convinced her she won't be able to.
To be honest I think she'd be better off at home because the way my Grandma is if she doesn't like the attitude they have with her she'll do nothing for them. I think she's more likely to try with us because we know how to be with her and it's too far away anyway.
My mum and I think the wedding might help because it is something she's always wanted to see so it would give her an extra goal to work towards. She doesn't think they've given up on her now, probably because they're moving her to the specialists ward and she's gone for a test today.
Yeah, I'm going to get some magazines and take them in. We were talking about it yesterday while Johnny was there. She's going to do the flowers for me. She's being moved to a different ward soon, the specialists ward.
She was really upset earlier this week though, they want her to go to this rehab place which is too far away for us to get to and she told them she'd think about it and talk it over with us and they just decided that she'd agreed to go so now she says she won't go so they told her she'll never be able to get out of bed by herself if she doesn't. She said she felt like she either gives up and dies or does what they want. They aren't letting her try to get out of bed though, she's trying for the physio now but she asks her to give her a rest then she'll do a bit more and they don't come back.
I don't see how we can't help her get going back at hers there's space to put her bed downstairs and she said she'll have a wheelchair so she can walk till she gets tired then we can push her till she wants to walk again. She wants to try she just doesn't want to be so far away alone and isolated, which is unless I'm wrong what they keep saying they're trying to stop from happening to old people. I mean they can easily set up a couple of carers to go round every so often to help as well. They just don't seem to be working with us or taking her feelings into account. She's 83 and has never had anything changed in her house to make it easier for her.
I've gotten past most of the hard stuff, its mostly assignments with the weird questions I never thought I'd have to answer. xD But... I'm getting past them somehow, I don't care how well I do, I just want them gone. Lol.
