Yeah, I know that when we reach a certain age, we have to take on responsiblities. Yes, I'm ready to enter that life, but rather than hit a brick wall running, why don't I work on getting OVER the wall instead, hm? T-T I told my mom I felt like I didn't have a mother anymore, and that she had seemed to trade herself in for a drill sargent and mom said that's what I needed. T-T
Another thing that's gotten to me, is my room is in the middle of being redone, and yet, mom still walks into it and yells that it's too dirty and I need to clean it. Yes, I'm aware it's messy, but the what the hell am I supposed to do about that!? I can't move everything out of the room, finish the paint job, the floor job, ect., all by myself! :gonk:
Technically they only rest standing up. Full sleep has to be done lying down. But that is the ONE efficient thing about them. They have special mechanisms to lock their joints into place so they can stand with almost no muscle involvement. I'm kind of jealous of that. I'd love to be able to take a nap on my feet.
They don't digest very well, their guts are well held into place, their reproductive systems are backward (they're the only animal that we've fully domesticated that reproduces *worse* than the wild version), and they stand on one freaking toe!
2 Papillons, 1 snake, 1/2 of a blue tongued skink (I share her with a vet school friend...she pretty much belongs to the friend now, but I still claim her), and a family cat.
