When you make a new thread and want to make reserved/separate posts, you need to use the Post Reply button so you go to the Advanced options screen. Below the box where you type in your text, there's a checkbox that says: "Override double post". Click that box and you'll get a brand new post that doesn't merge with the post above it. :D

I feel bad for not posting sooner. :(
