Well each game's story slowly gets more and more darker. We had people trying to destroy the universe to create a new one they could rule, one wanted everyone to release their Pokemon so they could rule the world...

And it was showen in a painting-like style. Was so awesome.

War and death hasn't been really talked about this much in Pokemon before.

Aww, but I want to tell you! It is so unique! There was a war that lasted 3000 years, and this man's (I am assuming he is the late King of Kalos) Pokemon died during the battle. He then created a machine to bring the Pokemon back to life, but then he was consumed with anger, so he turned the machine into an ultimate weopon, destroying Kalos and every one and Pokemon. The Pokemon he revived was sad that it was only reborn because many had died, so it left him. The man was then left to roam Kalos, searching for his Pokemon....
