And of course the amnesiac eventually remembers the man he's staying with tried to kill him

I was trying to figure out the why, and that works perfectly.

hmm What about someone with amnesia, and the person who tried to kill them? Said person mistakenly gets taken for the amnesiac's only friend by the hospital staff and now needs to take care of him?
