I never saw that movie. But Maybe. Hmmm....maybe gargoyles are their own species, but they can take on the shape of any statue. Like, not every statue is a gargoyle but any kind has the potential to be one.

Unless it's radiation! Hard to procreate after that. It could be the start of a new age like when the dinosaurs died out. I figure gargoyles don't age but stone can wear down I guess. Their version of aging? Other statues?

Ah perhaps so. Depends on how long after the event it is. It might take them a while to die out completely.
