I like the idea of her being a champion in a fighting ring. But perhaps as the country is on the verge of war, hordes threatening to invade and corruption causing betrayal within... and she leaves the imperial city and her warriors guild for a purpose more pure. And finds a small village devout to their local shrine. They won't leave if danger approaches so she teaches them to defend themselves and the place they value so much. Finding simpler life free from intrigue more appealing and the people worth protecting.

Yes, I find that secrets revealed throughout time is really entertaining and intriguing. I really do like mystery with characters and everything. I like learning about the past and the experiences of each characters.
