That's great news! Ahh I bet the scenery is amazing out there! Gah! I'm so jealous of you right now! It's getting cold here too, we were hit by a flash snow storm about 2 weeks ago, which wasn't fun... I'm safe until Saturday, then I'm legal to drive on the road :P so it will be all fun and games from then on, haha!

Inspiration! Okay so in our DD roleplay, I have been trying to stay in character and keep her from turning into fearless survivor. I finally found the inspiration for keeping her vulnerable! I watched a youtube video on Alice and Uncas made into a music video from the video Last of the Mohicans. There is was staring me in the face!
Okay, so I usually base my characters on an aspect or part of me. I've always focused on staying in control or being tough or brave or whatever. That isn't all of me though. There is a side of me that is quiet, observant, easily scared, and wishing that someone would just take care of her already. Which is why I am so glad to have a father in my life even if I am an adult now :P
Anyrate, in the movie the Last of the Mohicans, you have two sisters. Everyone likes to associate themselves with Cora, the fearless and strong sister. No one seems to take a second look at Alice or the quiet manner in which Uncas keeps an eye on her protecting her from herself and from the dangers around them. But this music video did and it was so incredibly touching. I'm turning sappy and I know this. I just feel like it is okay to write from a more vulnerable perspective now because such a character can be endearing and treasured too. Yes!
