totally cheating. and i'm likely going to pad the hell out of the end of it to make the 50k quota. i know i have something i can use that i didn't write last year.

I swear, I'll post soon. NaNo eats my soul every November, and I'm making a last-ditch sprint tonight. Tomorrow I'll catch up on everything I owe to people, I promise.

I don't like offending which is what I am afraid I would do. I have a lot of characters in this roleplay. It is just that I thought the roleplay would be pirates and such racing to get the artifacts first. Figured everyone could get one of the artifacts and then figure out how to proceed from there. Instead, I'm the only bad pirate and everyone else is protecting the artifacts... which means it makes sense that I would have to fail. I don't mind stories changing, it is just that everyone else is on the good side and I'm fighting a perfect character. If my character can't get the first artifact, then she will have no motivation to go after the other two because you need them all for them to power up. However if everyone but me is wanting to keep them hidden, then they will never come together for some epic final scene. We have a lot of characters wanting to find the love of their life or be some guardian of an ancient secret... I was just wanting to be a pirate... not the bad guy.

I have other characters besides my main characters that can be the bad guys. I have a villain on an island. I have sirens. I even have a clueless merchant sailing about. The island we are at now just happens to have a priest. I am stuck going against a Mary Sue character that evidently has an endless supply of stamina, agility, evasion, outstanding magical use, outstanding blade use, and of course the perfect heroine attitude. Such a character with no weakness... there are too many others playing this roleplay... I rather let my characters that are pirates die and wreck havoc with the characters I have left. Not that the sirens will do much good since everyone is a female looking for love :P

Frustrated. So very frustrated. I am roleplaying a reallly good roleplay. Like it has a good line to follow, we talk in the ooc thread, and the characters are a good mix. Problem is one person has made their character a Goddess who is skilled in everything and has no weaknesses... so even though according to the biographies we made my character should be winning, hers is because hers is suddenly invincible... AHHHH!!!! It is a good roleplay with a lot of us in it... but man alive, I don't like "perfect" characters. Tempted to allow my characters to die and to just control the villains...

Aw, he's not so battered up. I have a doll that I have had since I was a year old. Turns out it is the first gift my mother ever got me. She is rather stained and battered but I still care about her.

You're welcome. She and her ideas will give you a run for your money. The only complaint though I have, and why I am mentioning it, is that she has in one RP we did taken over my characters' backgrounds a little. I had two characters, one of which had a father who was always gone for business and he was an only child. So he was an independent sort who looked after the younger second character I had. She took him and twisted his background so that he had older brothers and a mother who had been brutally killed with their father forced to watch. Um... yeah, no. So you might just have to mention up front you don't want your characters' backgrounds being messed with. If you mention that, I am sure she will not cross that line.

I will keep my eyes open for you. You might like roleplaying with someone who had Chello as part of her name... I have done several with her. She had some words spelled incorrectly but she enjoys writing and could probably easily out write you with really long posts.

Not off the top of my head, though sometimes in some of the threads, people will casually say they wish they had a lit roleplaying partner... you could go to some of the large active threads and jump into a conversation and bring it up...
