Maybe like skip a week or so and they're talking since everyone had settled and Nixy wanted to get along better with Valefar or something? And that's where either his father or Setsudan would come in and make a collar appear on Nixy... what do you think?

no I was thinking that the king takes them captive in their own house and that's when Setsudan comes so it would be hard on everyone, maybe Setsudan thinks that Nixy is Vixen and ends up hurting her instead what do you think? at least it could give the rp a bit of a boost XD
