I think my mother would accept that and I like the idea of haivng light brown hair and blond highlights.

no, I am no dyeing it back since then I would look exactly like my mother and I really dont want that.

My natural hair color is dark brown so I am not sure how it would turn out.

True, but what color should I dye it? I mean what would look good and what would my mother accept. But I would like to dye it a light brown

I wish I could dye by hair a different color but I dought it would look good on me.
