Whomever is butting in ought to be quickly shut out before they make matters worse, for sure, but I feel your intention to speak specifically to your friend first tomorrow is certainly the right track to take. Somewhere no one else can interfere and you both can say what needs to be said and understand each other and get the falsities out of the way. Debunking the rumors, so to say.
Location... Is best left to silence---but I can say we're in South America. A lovely, beautiful place near the ocean and right on the edge of a largely dense wooded expanse. So no doubt it's warm here, hm? Right below the equator, within a few hundred miles or so! So definitely no snow.

It's usually pretty warm here. Got up to near 100F yesterday and the day before and I had to work in it before the rain came again. It's better than snow, which I hear the States are getting in some areas...

The past two days have been hot and sunny, now it's back to raining again. Was nice while it lasted and I love rain, but it's one of those 'too much of a good thing' situations.
