Aotori Hogan
Aotori is laid-back, stubborn, and a little thickheaded. Despite this, he’s rather level-headed, meaning he’s usually the one mediating between Yurine and Marshall...unfortunately for him. He’s really hard to piss off, but when he does he doesn’t always think and just plows headfirst into whatever he’s doing at the time...which sometimes leads to disastrous results. His dueling style is one that preserves his monsters, sending as few to the Graveyard as possible—his signature card is Blackwinged Dragon, equipped with Metalmorph. He’s the dracomancer of the group, bonded to Critias.
Marshall Atlas
Marshall is an idiot with an ego to make Jack Atlas green with envy. Marshall is the worst combination possible, according to Yurine; an idiot with a huge ego and a superpowered motorcycle. While he does dabble in Duel Monsters, Marshall’s first love is motocross. He’s been racing since he was around ten, when he put together his first bike with the help of Yurine, Aotori, Jyiann. Coincidentally, it’s the same bike that he rides the most often and has kept in the best shape. Since then, he’s modified it so that it can be used as a Duel Runner as well as a motocross cycle. He and Yurine are well-known for butting heads, their fights getting loud. Usually they end with either Aotori getting between them or—more commonly—with Yurine slamming her wrench into his face. Marshall is the swordsman of his group, wielding the demons sword Zatsume (“death”).
Jiyann Kiryu
Jiyann has no emotions. He has friends he would trust with his life, but he doesn’t have any emotions...the best he can do is fake them, which still puts people off-guard because he isn’t feeling anything. Jiyann has a dueling style very similar to Kyosuke Kiryu’s, using a similar Infernity deck, though he’s modified it with his Guardian monsters. So in essence, he’s fused an Infernity deck with a Guardian deck...not the easiest thing to do. He’s presently building his own Duel Runner from spare parts he finds all over the place, not all of them from the same model of Runner. He can see Duel Spirits, and is often seen with Infernity Beast at his side. Jiyann is the wizard of his group, being more skilled with the ten Dominion runes than the seven Sight runes.
Takano Jonouchi
Takano doesn’t look anything like his ancestor, Katsuya. Nor does he act like him. Takano tends to use his head for more than a hat rack, which is a good thing as his dueling skills are equal to Haine’s. However, on occasion, he has been known to fall back on a luck-based strategy. Overall he likes using a beatdown/Warrior-deck. He’s the dracomancer of the group, and his bonded dragon is Hermos.
Takano’s aura is water aligned, meaning he’s weak against earth.
James Andersen
James, like Johan, uses a Crystal Beast deck, and is usually accompanied by his duel spirit, Ruby Carbuncle. Like Baken, he likes to act the fool, though he doesn’t act like a moron quite as much. His two first languages are German and English, and will often switch to German when he’s angry and (as a result) swear in the language. His dueling style is very similar to Johan Andersen’s, though as James has a few fusion monsters he’ll use them to augment his normal lineup. James is the dracomancer of the group, bonded to Timeous.
Baken Yuki
Baken is highly intelligent, he just doesn’t show it. He’s content to let on that he’s an idiot, which tends to throw his opponents off in a duel. He’ll start out playing the moron, then starts in on his real dueling style, which is highly calculated. He’s a bottomless pit when it comes to his appetite, and can be a complete klutz most of the time. Normally Winged Kuriboh is somewhere nearby him. He’s the angel of his group.
Allister Pheonix
Allister is the best friend of Baken and James, making up the third member of DA’s “Troublesome Trio” when they were in high school. They were well-known for pulling pranks and getting into trouble, breaking the tradition of Obelisk Blue producing perfect students. Allister’s a bit more mellow than Baken or James, which (as Allister likes to put it) must “have undiagnosed ADHD”. Like Baken, he’s a bottomless pit. His own dueling strategy centers around the D-Heroes, with a chaos-deck twist thrown in. His duel spirit is Ellinore, a fairy-type duel monster. Allister is the wizard of his group, meaning he has control of all seventeen runes, though he’s strongest with Sight rather than Dominion.
