The necronomicon isn't referring to Ace himself as a foe, but the idea of death itself. The necronomicon goes against the very idea of death as the demons that the necronomicon channel, and the creatures that they possess are undead. as for the post, it's the necronomicon meeting Ace for the first time to speak at him about joining and whatnot. sry for the confusion
