At times she does, because she's so use to him saying it. I need to snap her out of that.
Fiaria: *it was strange to see him this way* *the normal darkness the male had not quite there* *for a moment she could have sworn she a flicker of something in his eyes that she had never seen there before* *was it longing? or was it something else, she couldn't be sure, but it was there*
*as the silence grew she wanted to reach out to him to touch him, but only let her hand reach out half way before letting it fall to her side* *her weight shifted as she regained a more neutral expression*
I'm not sure I know what you mean. *she wasn't trying to mock him, it's just she felt confused* *No way around what? Couldn't they just let everything drop, just change the topic if it was so unpleasant? No, they had come so close to something, something that would more than likely change things*
Ara, you don't have to. *her words here barely a whisper*
Fiaria: *his comments had caught her slightly off guard* *it was clear that she had chosen the wrong words to say* *she had angered him when she didn't intend to do, instead she had only answered honestly*
*noticing the anger that flashed in his green eyes she looked away momentarily* *it was almost as if she regretted her choice of actions* *she knew he didn't trust her, that he didn't have feelings towards her* *once again he was probably thinking she was stupid*
*Ara'mis' sigh returned her attention to him* *it was nearly impossible to tell what he was thinking at this point* *did she even want to know? Of course she did. It didn't matter if it was of how she was being stupid by trying to console an assassin, if it was about his past or the fact that this topic had grown too deep*
*her tail twitched as it swayed lightly behind her, the brushing of it against her boots being the only sound that filled the long silence* *she let the silence grow, foolishly thinking if they didn't say anything then it would be ok* *things that never intended to tell the other would be spoken*
*the question that Ara asked finally breaking the silence seemed like such an innocent question* *at first Fiaria tilted her head to the side wondering if she had heard correctly* *once again there was silence between them* *her tail twitched violently for a moment before coming to dead stop behind her*
*there was a grim smile on her lips as she spoke* Yes, I have pictured what it might be like if I had chosen a different path.
Fiaria: *the woman never gave Ara'mis his an answer to his question* *he would be left to guess unless he decided to try to force an answer from her*
*there was a glimpse of the impish grin she had earlier at the reaction she received due to her 'teasing'* *it disappeared as he answered her question* *once again he was frowning and looking a little bothered* Perhaps by not lingering on the negative and darker things in life? Then again happy moments are far and few between for people like us.
*her tone had grown soft, almost gentle like she was trying to soothe him* That is very true, both of us have experience more than our fair share of pain and the worst things in life. *hesitantly she took a step closer to him* *something told Fiaria that if they didn't change the subject soon that one or both of them might open themselves up more then they intended to*
