Yeah, I figure devan being there would throw things off. Because of devan.. hmm... I'm kinda thinking more like she went a little missing/disappeared and he found her and she was like super injured or something. But I don't know where would be logical for them to be separated.

Maybe Devan/the vampires somehow messed with their tech and then ended up going into different places in the facility and had to find each other? I feel like they would have had to have gotten separated because if they were together, they'd be able to fight whatever it was off before it could do real damage.
