lol My mum got me some blue hair dye about a month ago and she's been dying to use it. Since my aunt (her sister) is a hairstylist, I'm used to doing a whole bunch of bright colors in my hair and she thought it would be cool to put some blue on the bottom layer. I told her we should wait for my aunt to do it, but she looked so disappointed I had to let her do it. It was a pretty cool idea anyway, so why not? Turns out the crappy "do it yourself" kit only gave us enough to do like a strip, but we didn't realize it until after all the itchy-burny bleach. It's not quite as bad as it sounds, but the only thing is that the blue was so dark to begin with, it doesn't show up under my hair. Also there's a giant blotch of blue and rash where the bleach and color splashed. Also there's a giant blotch of blue on my mum's hand that won't wash off, which is hilarious. Also, this is way too long to read. My apologies. And yes I said also three times. Apologies once again. :lol:
Long story short, we think it rashed because we didn't have the proper tools to comb the bleach through, so it was in direct contact with skin. The whole thing is a mess. But, at least, we got quite a few good laughs and I have some amateur-but-okay blue in my hair again! Yay! :P
