You know what you could do instead? Make some art for her, write a poem... anything that does not use funds supposed to go to the quest.

Well, if you are questing together, it's not really useful when gold supposed to go to that quest moves to the other - who will still use it for the quest - let alone into a gift to that other. I mean, that gold could've been used for the quest instead, you know.
