I know we were so happy. We got a banner up on our gym wall- the first one we've ever gotten for swimming :) We're pretty poor too, but we do well enough in our sports that we get a lot of sponsors.
That sounds.... odd XD I'm sorry lol.
Its actually not bad. Its really quiet at night and air pollution is, like, zero, so we get the best view of the stars and gorgeous sunsets. But it gets uber hot during the summer- it was once 120 here- and super cold in the winter. Its really quiet and kinda boring, and you're forever getting sand in your shoes PX

Our school is really big on football, basketball, baseball, golf- hell, everything but the sports I play in XD But our swim team got first place in our league this year, it was pretty awesome.
We have a really small school too XP I think our team itself only had about 8 guys this year, but last year we only had three. Its mostly girls who show interest- all the guys are usually busy with basketball or baseball (our school is really good in our league in thos sports.)
Wow you guys had a big team ;--; We were only about twenty or so strong, boys AND girls XD Three of our girls swam year round, and the other was just a beast X3
haha, for me it was butterfly or freestyle. I'm pretty good at backstroke, but there were a few other girls who got better times then me so unless one of them couldn't make it to the meet I didn't swim it.
I didn't cry, but I grinned like an idiot until I got home XD
Uuugh, that sucks! I've had that happen, too, with my other individual being butterfly PX But I think it would be worse for me to have to swim breaststroke then have to do all of that.
Hahaha it was ridiculous when I found out I got my time. I rolled on the floor for a good minute.
Aaawww, I hate it when that happens. my coach put me in the 200 relay once and I got out of the pool, ready to die, and everyone was all "Hey wait don't leave! You're in the relay." ._.
