Damon laughs. Trying too hard? Only when it came to trying to get Fiaria to see him as more than a friend. His features softened and sadden a bit as he listened to Rayne tell him how Shiro was. "Yes, unfortunately he's had to grow up rather quickly. I tried to let him be a child when I could. A girlfriend? Does Ria know?" A flicker of disapproval shines in his eyes. Is going to have to make a point to visit the boy when he gets the chance and meet this girlfriend of his. Also wants to meet with Fiaria's brother. "I see, that was kind of you to let him have his own home on your land." Waves the puff of smoke the seer blew at him away. "It's natural I would worry about the woman who is taken care of my son. I want what's best for him." He shifts uncomfortably when she moves closer, but doesn't seemed too concerned by the ashes from her cig falling onto him. "Want you for myself? You should know better then that Seer. All I want from you is for you to protect that boy and to be a good teacher. I have to trust in Ria's judgement on where he will be safest."

"That's all I can ever hope for. Life hasn't always been kind." A more serious look forms on his face. Damon relaxed a bit which was unusual for when he was around Rayne. He never seemed to care for the woman because she knew more than she should about his past. Like how he had been heading down a dark path of self-destruction when he first met Fiaria. "So how is Shiro doing? Not causing too much trouble I hope." A slight smirk forms on his lips. "I've also heard that you've taken in a stray and he seems to be quite smitten with you."

Yay. Lol, I'm sure that it's ok. *really needs to get around to replying to things*

Damon laughs. "Smitten huh. It must be all the scars." He jokes and smiles a bit. Though he wondered if it would be wise to get involved in a relationship. His life wasn't always peaceful and at times it was dangerous.

I know lol. I agree that we should as well.

Damon raises his hands up in defeat. "It's not that I doubt you. It's more that I doubt myself." He has been having a hard time adjusting to living alone again.

You do have a good point there. I'm still going to work on their profiles just so they will be ready.

Same here. It will be fun to see how they all interact together.

Damon hangs his head. "I know I do." He gives her a dry laugh at her saying that he'll kids of his own with someone then shakes his head. "Shiro and Fiaria are all I need. As long as they are safe and happy. I can't let anything interfere with protecting them." The man sounds more like he's trying to convince himself that those two still need him than anything else.

*damon lets out a roar as he's slapped across the face, being cut by the object in rayne's hand* Damn you seer. What did you have to do that for? *wipes the blood from his cheek* You're right. It's just... *has mixed feelings about the current situation especially since he doesn't want shiro to be near ara'mis*

*grins as she stands back and watches* You deserved that.

I think I'm going to go with the yuki-onna, witch, human with psychic abilities and maybe another one just haven't decided. I was thinking of maybe modifying Turquoise who is a goddess.

*purrs lightly* That everyone does. I know she wasn't. It's just that I feel bad for Shiro and Fiaria as well. They have missed out on so much.

*Damon is glad that his fur hides his blushing* Well...umm....I think that Maria is a loving mother and beautiful woman. It's clear that she cares for her son and she'll do whatever she needs to to make sure he's safe and happy. Her way of mothering is something that someone else should have done, but.... *let's his thought trail off knowing saying such a thing wasn't fair*
