Also been spying on the Ara'mis and Rayne thing. I think Yuuta might have went in search of Fia to get advice on how to deal with Ara or is waiting for Ara to leave so he can confront Rayne about it.
((if it's with the new item that's come out, I don't have it yet. ;) I will soon-ish, but I'm not posting much recently. We'll see how long it takes me....))
The assassin raised an eyebrow at her hidden yawn. "True. My words. I was hoping you wouldn't bring that up, seer." Ara'mis poked at the blanket again, then sat still and stared at the other end of the room. "I do hate those conversations. But sometimes I seek out the things I hate just to remind myself of how good life is without them." A smirk followed, but he shook his head. Honestly, even Ara'mis wasn't sure why he came half the time.
"What? Don't you know I use everyone I come in contact with? An 'ally,' and I use the term loosely, is only around as long as they're useful." He grinned slyly. "You're lucky this isn't Sithe culture. You'd be fearing death if your use ran out."
There was a quiet laugh from Rayne, and then she began to let her eyes drift close. The assassin smiled slightly, reaching forward and placing a hand on her head. "Go to sleep." This time he pulled his hand away, slowly standing. It was time to go.
"True. Are you trying to convince me that you leaving would be a good thing?" He smiled a bit, shaking his head. "Who else would I come to for such brilliantly confusing foretellings and loophole conversations?" For once, the sarcastic words were nearly true. Nearly. "Besides, you've started stocking my favorite ale. I can only get that in two other places, and it's hardly worth the trouble to cross the realm every time I run out."
He felt the adjustment as Rayne shifted against him. "That doesn't mean you shouldn't sleep." The assassin rolled his eyes, poking at the blanket where her midsection might have been. Ara'mis sighed quietly, fighting a smile. "Stubborn. You're obviously tired."
Rayne's mumbling made the assassin raise an eyebrow, and his arm fell to his side. He stared at her for a few moments, realizing that he'd missed the fact that she'd gotten up to find a blanket. Speedy little thing, this seer.
Continuing to watch Rayne for many moments, Ara'mis slowly sat up. "You're not going to just disappear, are you?" The words lacked their usual sarcasm, and for a moment it almost sounded like he cared. The assassin shifted so he could lean back against Rayne as she curled up under her blanket. "You should sleep, seer. You know how much you've had to drink." He patted the blanket and chuckled, glancing up at the world around him. Oh, he'd leave. Just ... not yet.
