He's all confused, left alone and ending up with more questions then answers. Also feeling a bit lost. Howl's room, lol. I need to watch that movie again, it's been so long.
"Once a year, hm?" The assassin shifted uncomfortably again before falling still. When Rayne rolled away, however, Ara'mis huffed out a relieved breath again. He lay still for a while. When he finally turned his head to look at the seer, he saw her curled up tightly.
"It's not as easy as it looks, seer." Ara'mis watched the woman for a moment, keeping his gaze on where Rayne's face was nestled into her arms. "It's never easy." It wasn't that he wanted to comfort Rayne, but he certainly didn't want her wishing for something that didn't exist. Detach? Mostly. One could look detached from a situation, and distance themselves from everything involved. It didn't make the pain go away. It just gave you the opportunity to run from it.
Ara'mis bumped Rayne lightly with his leg before closing his eyes and falling still. Skies, he was tired.
