It isn't as much scary as it is annoying >.> I metabolize the anesthesia they give to deaden the tooth/teeth being worked on really super fast (I'm talking numb and back in less then 15 minutes)... Everyone thinks having a fast metabolism is good... Yeah not so much for me. The doctor applied them in my jaw 5 times and once under the tongue... So my jaw hated me yesterday. Now it is just my tooth which is conducting anything hot or cold which is just annoying but more tolerable then pain!

I had a yummy mushroom, swiss and bacon burger for lunch instead of potatoes as my hubby wanted to go out to eat rather then stay in. It was AWESOME!

Guivre 03-27-2010 09:48 PM

That does sound delicious, I love swiss cheese. *stares at own signature*

That reminds me, I love those restaurants that have a wide range of burger toppings.

Fauxreal 03-28-2010 12:36 AM

Okay so I've been gone today - because I went to the Olive Garden for endless soup, salad, and breadsticks....

Though, I'd rather a nice family owned Italian restaurant... I have this CRAY weak spot for that zuppa tuscana. * INSERT HUGE PUDDLE OF DROOL! *

Estrella 03-28-2010 06:07 AM

I had a burger for dinner from a little joint down the road.
Made me feel like CRAP. D:

But I made Zataran's for lunch and I love that stuff (the jambalaya).

I hope tomorrow when my aunt and uncle go shopping, I can tag along and get them to buy some basics.

Guivre 03-28-2010 05:46 PM

I make that jambalaya sometimes too. I've been trying to stay away from such blatant consumption of sausage, so I make it with shrimp now. But I don't use convenience food very often.

For dinner I'll be having lasagne leftover from last night.

This week I bought some chocolate almond milk instead of soymilk, and though I don't think I like it as much, I am craving it like crazy now. It's like drinking chocolate covered almonds. D=

Fauxreal 03-28-2010 07:41 PM

I can't have the almond milk, I have to stick to the rice milk *no added crap* kind.

They are adding vitamins and stuff like that to EVERY THING! *bah!*

Tonight! I will be baking chicken legs! I wonder if I could fry them? That's going to be messy I'm sure.

mau5ie 03-28-2010 07:45 PM

i want some FOOOD!
will someone please puree a burger for me?!
i can't eat properly!

*esplodes*

Fauxreal 03-28-2010 08:08 PM

Today I'm at work and don't get a lunch break - short work day. It totally messes me up! I get all crazy for dinner and eat EVERYTHING I see! *noms a chair*

Estrella 03-28-2010 08:09 PM

The zuppa tuscana is what my sister-in-law makes at home, Faux. Maybe I'll get the recipe from her and post it. *nod* Then you won't have to go to Olive Garden and ruin their floors with puddles of drool. <3

We're having pasole tonight.
It's one of my favorites.

I still need to figure out lunch, though.

Edit:
Here's the recipe she uses:

Quote:

1/2 lb chicken Italian sausage or bulk sausage of your choice (she used Jimmy Dean original)
4-6 potatoes, diced
1 onion, chopped
3-4 garlic cloves, minsed
6 cups chicken stock (you can easily replace some with water as you have available – I used 4 cups stock, 2 cups water)
2 cups whole milk, half & half, or raw cream
1 head of kale (5-6 leaves, as desired), chopped
salt and pepper, to taste
Parmesan cheese

In a large pot, cook the sausage, onions, and garlic until the sausage has browned. Crumble sausage as you cook it. Add the potatoes and stock and bring to a boil. Once it has reached a boil, turn it down to low and simmer for 20 minutes or so, just until the potatoes are tender. Add the milk and kale and allow to cook for 5-10 minutes. Season to taste. Top with parmesan cheese for extra flavor! Enjoy! Makes 6-8 servings. Freezes well.

Fauxreal 03-28-2010 08:30 PM

OMG! I'm so going to try this!!!! *dies of joy*... Now I'm super hungry. I'm going to go eat my arm now.

Jaz 03-28-2010 09:43 PM

Need to make a monthly menu plan O_o halp... I no like making menu plans ><

Estrella 03-29-2010 04:20 AM

I'd only do like a week or two. A month is a long time. x__x;;

Jaz 03-29-2010 03:25 PM

If I do a month at a time I am less likely to repeat a meal.... I only did a week for now but that was cause I was in a rush before we went to the grocery store!

Frawesome 03-29-2010 04:11 PM

If anyone likes Japanese food and cooking it, there's this good channel on youtube called cooking with dog c:

Fauxreal 03-29-2010 05:46 PM

I'll have to link click when I get home - someone gave me a link in another thread as well.

And tonight is chicken leftovers. But I'm going to turn them into a tasty pasta salad me thinks.

I WISH I had enough gumption to make a monthly meal plan. That would be the SMART thing for me to do. But I'm soooo *lazy!* Then when I have to do groceries - I see something else and I want that instead. And in the middle of the week I'll get a craving for something else and want that that for three days or something.

Bad juujuu.

Saravi Boo 03-29-2010 05:59 PM

I have trouble planning that far ahead for meals because I have to buy the meat that is on sale or marked down. Being broke is annoying. I'm a pretty good cook though and I try to buy stuff that will last a couple of days. I have a link to share too. If I can just find it again. lol. I'll look later.

Fauxreal 03-29-2010 07:57 PM

More linkages! Sausage Linkages... *rofl*

Saravi Boo 03-29-2010 08:05 PM

lol, silly Faux. I have a piece of cheesecake. mmm...

Fauxreal 03-30-2010 01:14 AM

For dinner - I made a pasta salad.

Started with simple pasta - mayo. I don't use the cheap mayo - only the expensive stuff. There are certain food I just can't eat the cheap one - sour cream, ramen <- weird I know, yogurt, stuff - anyway. I had cooked chicken last night - baked, I added that. I added some Italian dressing. I cut up some green onion and purple onion. I added feta cheese and Queso Caribe, which is a salty kinda of cheese, kinda crumbly like feta... I had some red pepper - not the spicy kind, the regular sweet kind. And cucumber. OH! and ham! From the deli - I think it was boiled? ((whatever it is it was on sale! *lol*))

SO FREAKING GOOD!

I find that a lot of pasta salads really lack an *umpf* Mayo, pasta, Italian dressing. Good base. But you have to add a good protein. I prefer MEAT! and you need to have a flavor - something punchy!

I love pasta salad.

Estrella 03-30-2010 01:47 AM

I made chicken penne alfredo for dinner.

Fauxreal 03-30-2010 01:53 AM

Penne is the past that is a tube?

Jaz 03-30-2010 01:58 AM

I had to buy pizza.... >.> got it for free though... Not because I didn't pay or anything like that... I paid the delivery gal with a check and well everything was peachy until the gal came back. She told me that her boss wouldn't take the check. The couldn't have checked the check because it would have cleared with flying colors since the tax return is in the account still... so whatever... Free Supreme pizza tastes better then not free *shrugs* I think this is the only benefit I have EVER found to living in my reject apartment complex

Fauxreal 03-30-2010 02:34 AM

So they would rather give you the pizza for free than trying to cash the check... that is WEIRD!

Estrella 03-30-2010 03:08 AM

Faux: Yes ma'm. Sooo good.

Skrae 03-30-2010 05:51 AM
