"The Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass"
Darn these books for English. ;___; |
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
It's a kinda futuristic dystopian book where North America is divided into twelve regions and each year each region sends a boy and a girl to compete (to the death!) in the Hunger Games, which are held in the Capitol. The last one standing is the winner, and the story follows one of the tributes from one of the poorer regions. EVERYBODY READ IT. NOW. IT IS SO SO GOOD AND AWESOME. |
Currently working on Path of Daggers, Book 10 of the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan for personal enjoyment reading.

Elliott, Jennifer Hawes-Dawson for work related reasons. Currently reading 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership by John C Maxwell for Work Development/Career Pathing reasons. reading a few books right now. american gods by neil gaiman mister b. gone by clive barker and fragile things [short stories] by neil gaiman |
I am currently reading Darkwitch Rising by Sara Douglass. It is the third book of four and its pretty good so far if not odd. The one part made me go 'bleh' not due to bad writing but with what was going on and I'd never imagine the one character doing that. The first book takes place in the Aegean World and the next two in different time periods in English History. In the first book Brutus, great grandson of Aphrodite, starts a magical Labryinthe with Genvissa. The next three books go through their next three lives trying to finish what they started. Its very good and you can tell the author did her homework. I can't wait to finish it and read the next one x3

I am now reading Born of Fire by Sherrilyn Kenyon.

Once you get used to style of writing, you can't stop reading. |
"So Long and Thanks For The Fish!" by Douglass Adams.
Finally, trying to finish the Hitchhiker series. |
The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood.
The clever thing I was about to say about it was taken by wikipedia when I double-checked the author's name ;_; but it's a feminine dystopia, which means the women are pretty much enslaved to men. They're devided into Wives, who you know, just basically keep the man company from what I've read; Martha's, who are maids and cooks; and Handmaids, who bear the children, as the wives seem to be older women. There are also Econowives, who do all three tasks. There're adult situations and bad language and all that, plus there are some possibly anti-religious themes, or it's possible to read it that way (so far), but it's really worth a look, especially for women. |
Currently:
Prozac Nation quite a good book |
I know a lot of people are going to hate me for this, but I'm reading Eclipse in the Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer.
