Stll no one got their email? ;__; Pottermore tweeted that they sent out some more about 2 hours ago. It seems they'll be telling people when they send e-mails out, so if you have twitter I would follow them to save refreshing your e-mail a lot ^^
|
I haven't yet :c Gahh!! Still waiting for mine >A<;; How many people are in now, cutie? O:
|
No e-mail? T_T;
19,394 as of right now Sakura~ There are now the least amount of Gryffindors than any house, and Slytherin is still in the lead with house points by abou 100 :3 The amount of Ravenclaws more than other houses are increasing fast. 0__0 |
Still no e-mail in my inbox either. :eager:
|
Ditto. But I finished rereading book 1 last night. Maybe if I get the others done, the universe will find me worthy of entry! :eager:
|
I've just reread Book 6 yesterday. Am I worthy? :eager:
|
No no, you have to start over and read them all in order, AGAIN! While wearing a bathrobe and balancing a pie on your head. :insane:
|
But I don't own a bathrobe nor do I have a pie... ;_;
|
See you in October, Iro. :talk2hand:
|
Still no e-mail either. I hate the internets. Brb offing my gmail account.
|
Someone say pie? 8D
19,728 students now. If there were 1,000,000 early entry places, and if they allowed an equal amount of people to register on each day of the magical quill quest, that would mean about 142,000+ people were registering each day. And if they're still letting people in according to when they registered, that would mean they haven't even let half the people who registered on day 1 in yet. QQ; But then Belly registered on Day 1, wut. Belly do you know what time your registered? Or how long the clue was up for before you registered? Because I know the clue on day one was up for about 2 hours. Which is realllyy long considering it was the first day. Unless... They let more people in on Day 1 than any other day. TOO MANY OPTIONS. ---------- Oops, I melted my cauldron. |
It was about 30-45 min after the first clue was put up that I registered, if I remember correctly. I'd been staying up waiting but got distracted and then noticed it was past the time and flew off in a panic to answer the question. It did take a long time for my email to get to me (didn't receive it until the following morning).
I wonder if they're using some other criteria to determine the order they let folks in? Location, age, "people who have read all the books but not seen the movies," or some other thing. Hmph. edit: I should add - I have 4 other friends who live in the same town as me, but who registered immediately on day 1, and none of us have received the welcome email. |
There are tons of theories. Account numbers, letter of the first/second part of the account, age, etc.. I should say no one I know in real life (aka lives in my country) has gotten their e-mail. I'm wondering if it's by surname alphabetical order, as we had to give our first and last name upon registration, but I think it's a long shot.
Maybe J. K. just points and says "that one; that one; that one;" while nomming a cheese sandwich. |
Ah I see. I received my email about half an hour after I registered.
It's a little unfair to use the 'people who have read all the books/seen movies' to let people in. I'm pretty sure I ticked all the boxes, but I've seen when you explore the first book, it shows whether you've seen the movie/read the book, and if you have friends it shows what they've done too. And totally unfair if they're biasing to where you live. Age, I might be able to understand because they might want a varied feedback response but it still seems unfair because they've told us in the past it was first come first serve. Hrmmm. Judging by my random friend adds, I have quite a few in the US, one in the philippines, and one in the UK. I'm from the UK myself. Neuza if it was in alphabetical order I think I'd be last. Mine begins with Y  The Cheese sandwhich theory may be legit too. ;D |
Maybe it's reverse alphabetical! Mine's F.
Starting Chamber of Secrets now, anyway! Maybe I'll try balancing a cheese sandwich on my head instead of a pie. ;D |
Can't be reverse, my last name starts with a V. I'd be in already, I think. XD Maybe it's our shoe size. Or whether we wear glasses, contacts, both or none. Both! *eyebrow wiggle*
I'm about to finish The Half-Blood Prince (original version, go me!) and then I'll start with the Deadly Hallows. I started reading the Philosopher's Stone when the e-mails arrived. J. K., WHERE IS THE PAY FOR MY HARD WORK WOMAN? Haha, good luck with balancing a cheese sandwich, then. It's better than pie for your health too. :D |
I wear glasses to look smart :insane: Just kidding, my eyesight is terrible. I should be wearing them all the time but I only wear them when I'm on the computer. XD
My friend's surname begins with B and she registered a few minutes after me. Mmm pie. I might have some for dinner tonight. Stick it in the oven and then run off to brew more potions for Gryffindor. |
Can't be as terrible as mine, though, I can't distinguish people without my glasses. XD I'm like, almost blind, I have the eyesight of my father's aunt, and she needed an operation. MY EYES ARE OLD. ):
You can't imagine how jealous I am of you right now. Oh my god. XD |
Sometimes I can't either, depending on how far they are away. I hate having bad eyesight though. It's such a burden sometimes. And I'm scared of contact lenses so I have to take my glasses everywhere :gonk:
I'm sorry. ;__; Rahhh, let moar Mene people into Pottermore! D: |
Oh, I was scared too. it's the old "AMG TOUCHING MY EYES" scare, isn't it? I had it. Real bad. The young man who put my first contact (they put it to teach you) had to stand behind me because I kept moving my head, and then I almost fainted. Such a handsome guy and I was like "NO. NO. NO. NONONONONONONO!" FFFFF, so silly of me. But you get used to it pretty fast, after a while you're on the bus putting them on without even needing a mirror. LIKE A BOSS.
Don't be sorry, you're lucky! I'll be joining you soon enough, hopefully. XD |
Still nothing on my end.
|
Nothing here either. :( How is it, that I've been online pretty much all day for the last couple, and this thread explodes while I sleep?
|
It happens with me too, our timezones are different so we interact with each other while we're awake, then other people show up, some go to sleep, etc.. XD
|
Yeah, pretty much. And all those stories of like, infections and things. D:
Omg handsome guys make it x1000 worse! DD: Oh gosh, like a boss indeed. I'd be too paranoid of poking my eye out or something O____O IT BETTER BE SOON. COUGHPOTTERMORECOUGH. |
My friend had an infection, but that only happens if they don't give you the appropriate liquid to clean your contacts with. Plus she had very sensitive eyes, it took her three or four brands of liquids to find the right one. Not to push you, but if you ever decide to go for contacts, it's totally worth it. ;)
Ogod I know right? Cute guy + embarrasment = a very very ashamed Neuza. Haha! Once a contact popped out of my eye while I was on the subway. I just popped it back in (no mirror, no nothing, true story) and some chick stared at me like http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lo4nt8cUVg1qe9a84.gif because I was BOSS. And I don't know how we got to this conversation. ILU GUISE. We're all so warm and fuzzy, keeping each other company. |
