As Akio stood there waiting for whatever or whoever it was that was approaching them, he only gave a slight glance by the corner of his eye to look at the other young girl. She seemed almost eager to fight whatever or whoever was coming their way, Akio didn't seem too eager to fight whatever it was but rather he just had his own usual serious face on; as though this fight was going to be one he needed to do. Soon enough after about three minutes of continuous ground shaking, a large beast came out of the shadows as it had bright red eyes and four arms. The beast growled with anger as it grabbed the trees around itself with all four of it's own arms and slammed each one down to the ground. The beast itself stood up to about a height of 20ft as it had two strange horns coming out of it's own head. Glaring up at the strange black and beast, it looked almost as though it were going to explode from the inside out with flames; which kind of caused Akio to be a bit curious about where this thing came from.
(i couldnt explain it that good. this is basically it. http://files.runningwithquills.com/images/demon2.jpg) |
Divine just watched the beast, sure that she'd expected something more than this. She sighed and shook her head, having gotten hyped up for nothing. It was some wild beast, and having sensed somethings intruding in it's territory it came to rectify the situation. She just was up for such antics. She was more of a lover than a fighter anyway. She shrugged and summoned a light purple, tinted with white ball of energy, and lobbed it at the thing. It hit one of its horns and it snapped off.
Then the beast gave a bellow and looked at her, deciding that for this crime, she would die. She only smiled and waved at it. Enraging the thing further. She was sure what it would do now... But it would be interesting to see what Akio would do... |
As Akio had seen the beast come out from the shadows only to destroy the trees around it so that it had a more clear path. He only just glared at the large beast as it growled and roared loudly as though it was ready to kill everything in it's path. All of a sudden when an energy blast suddenly came out of nowhere and broke one of the large beast's horns. Akio's eyes widened right up as he turned right around to see that it came right from the young girl behind him. He hadn't expected her to do the first attack at all, so seeing it come from her; he just turned his own attention right back to the large beast after hearing it growl even louder in anger. No doubt from just hearing that; the beast was going to focus it's own attention onto the young girl. So all of a sudden seeing that thing charge after her, Akio clenched his fist and shook his head. Bolting in front of the young girl, he slammed both his fist into the ground as a large wall of black flame separated the two of them between the large beast. The beast just stood there, and roared louder as it began to bang all four of it's fists against Akio's wall of flame even if it began to burn the beast's own arms. Holding something like this kind of wall of flame wasn't exactly the easiest of things to do since the more the beast banged onto the wall; the harder it was to keep the wall up.
|
Divine sighed and then chanted a few short words. Feeling the energy build up in her palm she sent a blast through the flames. The beast looked stunned for a second then went to ram into the flames again. But it stopped and looked disoriented. Like it had no clue what it was doing. She chuckled as it looked around and couldn't see them. It's rage gone, and having no memory of whom it had attacked it huffed its was through the forest. Looking mean and feral. "Are you okay?" she asked gently, genuinely concerned but not sure that he would accept bodily help from her. She looked at him with soft eyes, knowing that as soon as he turned around she'd cover them up again. Then she heard the bellow, the beast was charging back towards them. And they hadn't moved away from where it had found them. The quick spell had faded all too quick, especially when one was still in the same spot when it was a tactic for retreat.
|
As Akio held up the wall of black flames to continue to separate both himself and the young girl from the giant beast. He kept feeling how the beast itself wouldn't stop banging onto the wall of flames as he began to cough up a bit of blood onto the ground from all the pain of trying to keep up the wall. All of a sudden, while he stood there trying to keep the large beast away from the two of them; seeing another blast go through his own flames to hit the large beast. His own attention went to it as he saw how the beast itself looked as though it had no idea what it was doing anymore. Seeing that, Akio just slowly dropped his hands as he tilted his head to stare at the large beast. Soon enough after seeing it stomp back into the woods; his own attention swung right back to the young girl when she had asked him if he was okay. Looking back at her only to see that her eyes were still covered right as soon as he looked at her, he just gave a little nod for a moment. "I'm fine. d-don't worry about--" right before Akio could finish his own sentence he immediately placed a hand over his mouth and began to cough up blood into it. Right to follow along with that; he began to pant heavily and look around the area if there was anywhere they could get going. All of a sudden, when he heard the loud stomping and roars of the beast coming closer again; he turned his attention back to see from the darkness; it's dark red eyes getting closer and closer. Akio simply bit the bottom of his lip and placed both his palms onto the ground as a large pillar of black fire consumed both himself and the young girl. This fight wasn't seeming to end anytime soon, so they needed to escape. Akio wasn't really at full strength and trying to kill this beast didn't seem like it was going to happen. Immediately the pillar of black flames reappeared in a different part of the dark forest as both Akio and the young girl were transferred there due to the black flames.
((sorry for the quick control of your character. @.@)) |
"Hold still." she barked out as she laid him down on his back. She looked down at him and then held on hand over his heart and the other over his stomach. "I know this might be hard but you'll have to trust me..." she murmured as her hands began to glow with a faint purple light. The heat of it would sear into his skin quickly and dissipate throughout his body and core. She had a large reserve of energy, and knew he'd need it.
She pressed her hands firm against him as she bit her lip, the light sank down into his skin and then spread over his entire body, doing it's healing work, slowly but efficiently. She felt herself merge with him by accident, her memories and feelings slipping through the link. Everything that had happened since she'd come to the inn flooded over to him, but she was too entrenched to control that. She was focusing on healing him completely. She found the task very meticulous and was sure to be methodic in her treatment of him. When she broke away she knew she was going to possibly have to face his questions, or worse his rejection. |
(wow, you guys sure did a lot. xD)
Len stared outside. He knew something was coming, and it was powerful. He sighed and looked at Hime for a second. "Lets sit down...I don't think there is anything coming, at least I hope nothing will.", he said. Hime nodded and sat down somewhere, with len. |
(mhm. :P)
Panting heavily after having to transport both himself and the young girl to a safe enough distance from the large beast. Akio began to feel as though he was about to die from exhaustion as he just kept panting heavily due to how tired he was. All of a sudden, when he was pushed down onto the ground; his own eyes widened up as he looked up at the young girl as she placed a hand onto his chest and stomach. "Wh-what are you--" right as soon as he stated to speak, seeing a strange purple light come out of no where across his body a small gasp escaped his lips. Seeing this he just had a feeling she must've been trying to heal him at this point, usually he would've struggled against this making it so that he wouldn't be allowed to get healed since he hated it when someone tried to help him. Although, suddenly after the light had sank into his own body and strange images along with feelings swarmed into his body. Akio's own eyes widened up as he looked up at the young girl while she healed him. Really, the weird feelings he was getting and the images he was seeing were the main reason why he didn't struggle against her healing him. It had seemed this girl was in love with him, which kind of shocked him; ever since he was banished from heaven by God himself. Akio never really believed in love since he thought for a fact that no one truly loved him anyway. So figuring out that thing young girl he basically just met actually had fallen in love with him was truly shocking. So by the time that the healing process was done, he just sat up and looked over at her with his own eyes a bit widened. "You...love me..?..but why?..w-..we just met." |
(Well hey, I'm not the type of person to confess and neither is she... Had to slip it in there someway, wasn't that creative of meh? XD?!)
She blushed as she withdrew her hands and then looked at him, she took off the black mask covering her eyes. "Eyes of the Seer that help me see sometimes whether I want to or not, and I saw a sadness in you... much like the one I bore, but you were fighting to conquer it... Me I just let go..." she said all in a rush before taking a deep breath, "It happened, it was sudden and very unexpected... I'm sorry... it bothers you doesn't it?" she ask looking down at him with her two tone eyes. A few tears welled up as she bit her lip, trying not to actually cry as he had the first time she'd seen him. She had never been in love, had always thought those who did fall in love were foolish. But here she was, one of those fools. She should just hope for the best, but she couldn't. Her heart was coming alive again, especially after finding out her brother was alive, if only for a short while. How was she going to recover if her rejected her? She had no clue, but suspected she was going to find out soon. |
As Akio heard the reason behind what she did, just figuring out that this young girl had seen the sadness that dwelled within his own heart and she had once witness this same sadness. Akio just tilted his head lightly as he gave a slight frown, he already knew for a fact that he had sadness building up within himself but he thought for sure that no one else would've been able to see it. Right after that, hearing that she had given up on conquering her sadness; Akio just gave a deep frown as he lowered his own head slowly staring down at the ground itself. Really, the only reason he had ever tried to even conquer his own pain was so that he wouldn't be hurt anymore than he already was. Hearing that she also had the same kind of pain in the past and that she decided to give up; only increased the sadness a bit that lied within himself.
Soon enough when the young girl stated that it bothered him that she was in love with him. Akio just stayed silent as he slowly looked back up to her face, only to notice that her eyes were revealed at this point. That was new, earlier when he looked at her; both her eyes were completely covered up, but now they were both shown. To him, she looked completely different as he just shook his head a bit. "No, that doesn't bother me..I was only curious about why you were in love with me. After we only just met." he stated looking around the area once more only for a second til his attention laid back onto her. (lol.) |
As she continued to look down at him, she swiped at her eyes, a bit nervous of revealing them to someone after so long. Especially the scar on her face, she saw it every time she shifted into this form. And remembered her brothers death. But now it wasn't about that, it was about why he kept looking at her like that. Her eyes were contrast, the black with a white pupil, then white with a black pupil.
"Would you ever in time, possibly come to hold any such feelings for me?" she asked softly, knowing that what she asked was damn near impossible, and probably not what was going to happen anyway. She again bit her lip, but then went to put her mask back on. Why had she asked him that, surely she was a fool to ask something that bold, over someone she'd meet less than a day ago, and then fallen for... Oh Gods she was in a mess. |
Staring at the young girl for a bit longer and noticing how her eyes were in the strange colors of one being black and white while the other was white and black. To him, even though they were a strange color and filled with a bit of darkness; it seemed as though they also had their own little shade of beauty as well. Akio had noticed it, and that was mostly the reason behind why he was so shocked. He never really said anything about it due to the fact that at this point he wasn't sure what to say. He wasn't sure if a compliment would really do anything anyway since the other thing he was mostly shocked about was the fact that this girl had fallen in love with him. Whether he actually felt the same way for the girl or not was kind of a mystery to himself due to the fact that most of the time his mind was focused only on revenge for his family's death. Akio never really put any of his own thoughts into his own actual emotions on love for anyone else at this point. So hearing the young girl's question on whether he had ever had the same feelings for her, Akio just slowly stood back up to his own feet and dusted himself off. At this point he just tilted his head curiously at her. "To be honest?...I'm not too sure. I haven't really thought about it..but now that you do bring it up..part of me does feel a strange emotion deep within. Whatever the emotion is..I'm not sure." he said placing one hand right over his own chest and stared at her; it felt as though it had been forever since he ever actually had true emotions for another. So actually feeling any emotion for this young girl, if he were to fall in love with her; the emotion of love would be a complete stranger at this point.
|
Divine just smiled and tilted her head, trying not become sad. She had expected just that, and was ready to accept it. If she could stay by his side, help and love him. She was sure that she'd be happy. She stood at he had, but then put her mask back on. She then leaned forward and kissed his cheek. Because for once she was not sad, and could smile about her life. It was a complete mess, and all because she'd heard a scream.
"I blame you ya know... But is it alright if... If stay by your side?" she hung her head as a blushed as she asked. |
Seeing the smile that the young girl gave him, Akio just tilted his own head with her as he watched her place her mask back on to cover up her own eyes again. He was still in a bit of shock to see her actual eyes due to them actually looking much more beautiful than he thought they were. Most of the time when someone would hide their own eyes it would be because they were usually dangerous and could hurt someone if they let anyone see them. Although in this case, it seemed as though she just didn't want anyone to see her eyes in general.
All of a sudden when the young girl had leaned in and given him a slight kiss onto the cheek; Akio's own eyes slowly widened up a bit as he stared at her. Slowly enough his own pale face turned a bit red on his cheeks as he began to blush, how long it had been since he blushed felt like forever. So just feeling a blush come across his face after so long was almost foreign to him. Although hearing right next that she blamed him for this and asked if she could continue to stay by his side, Akio gave a quick gasp but ended up nodding slowly. "Sure...you can stay." he said with a little smile coming across his own lips. |
Divine smiled at him beautifully. Then she heard her stomach growl, and blushed. She wanted to change back to her normal form but had no energy. "And what I blame you for, is me falling for you..." she whispered softly. He was so cute when he blushed, like a little kid. Embarrassed over a first love. Then a thought struck her, well it wouldn't hurt to ask. Not now anyway, she hoped.
"Have you ever fallen in love?" she asked softly and then twiddled her thumbs. She didn't really want him to say yes, but if he did, she wanted to ask. She wanted to get to know him more. There was something odd about the fact that she had just fallen for him, but it felt right, and she didn't want to change it. She needed to get closer to him. |
By the time Akio had finally been able to regain some of his own strength from not having to exhaust even more than he already had. He had suddenly heard a strange growling sound come out of no where, looking around the area he had thought that it was that same beast from earlier coming back. Only to hear the noise was coming from the young girl's stomach. Giving a little quiet chuckle to himself, it didn't take much to realize that the young girl was actually hungry. Akio himself wasn't exactly that hungry since he was mostly concentrating his time and energy on fighting and training this whole time. So he never really had that much time to actually think about food. So when the young girl had whispered out that she blamed him for her falling for him, Akio just tilted his head slightly and shrugged his shoulders. "Sorry about that." he said with a little small smile playing across his lips before heading toward the direction of the tavern. "Well we should head--" right before he could once again finish his sentence; hearing the young girl's question his smile slowly turned right back to a frown as he turned his head slightly to look back at her. "No..I haven't." he stated without another word, the reason he had never truly fallen in love was because of the fact of being banished to earth by God for no true good reason. Ever since than, Akio's thoughts were never focused on love for anyone nor did he even ever realize if anyone else had ever fallen for him. "C'mon..lets get you something to eat." he stated remembering that her stomach was just growling a second ago.
|
"I don't eat food, I'm a Succubus, ya know... I need the life force, or some type of energy from a male..." she said softly, feeling kind of embarrassed. Which was odd, in her human form, she needed little, because she'd grown accustomed to it. But this form, was not as trained as she was anymore. It was as strong as she needed it to be, but some of the things she'd done before, she couldn't do. She'd fed once every 200 years. She guessed it was about that time.
"Why did you remain alone... Azrael, he seems to consider you a friend. And coming to the Inn, for none of it was it a mistake..." she murmured softly. Hoping to take some attention from her hunger and let her body get used to the feeling. She was going to have to stay in this form a lot more if she was going to do what she needed to do. And what she needed to do, was stay by Akio's side, only this side of her could walk beside him without any chance of being harmed by anything. |
After simply hearing that this young girl was actually a succubus, Akio had stopped in his own tracks as he slowly looked forward. This whole time when he had met her, he had already known for a fact that she was a demon anyway; but the thing was he didn't know she was actually a succubus of all demons. Turning his head back to look at her with a slight little curious frown on his face he simply tilted his head lightly to her. "Energy from men?..so would it work if I transferred any of my power to you?" he asked completely unaware if it needed to be seduction kind of energy or if it could've been simple dark energy. If it had to be a kind of seduction kind of energy that part would've made things a little bit different since Akio wasn't sure if he could let this young girl do so to him that easily. Even if it was only for the sole purpose of regaining energy.
All of sudden as he heard from her why he had decided to stay alone and how Azrael considered him as a friend. Akio just gave a little sigh and looked up towards the full moon. He didn't really care if anyone considered him a friend or not, he wanted to stay alone due to the fact that he didn't want anyone else hurt around him. Not to mention, the fact that ever since his mother and father died he didn't even care for people; but rather all he cared about was the death of the demon and anyone who was helping the demon kill his family. Akio didn't really reply at all but rather, he stayed silent to her question. |
"Is the silence a sign of your displeasure?" she asked in a soft unemotional voice. She was a bit hurt, she knew it was stupid. How could she be hurt? Because as of right now, it was a one sided love, and she couldn't fiz that. Her only concern was him, not herself or Judgment. But it should be, not one who was not even sure yet of his own life. He did live his life for others in a way, she knew when someone was out for revenge, justice... She was sure she wanted to stay by his side.
Gods, her life had become one jumbled mess. Was she ever going to have a decent life after this? Would she recover if nothing happened, she supposed she would. But one never knew with these things. Absently she remembered her hunger, "I can go without it, I won't die..." she said again with no emotion, trying to make sure that her emotion didn't spill out. How could one who had always had perfect self control after her twins death become so unraveled and tormented by mere thoughts of a man? She was sure that she'd been meant to find this Tavern... Meeting Akio too, but what lie ahead for them? She just continued to walk beside him, aware of the fact that he still hadn't responded. She had no choice but to silence the disquiet within herself before it became too great. She only knew a few things, she would follow him anywhere. No matter where it would be, how dangerous or forbidden. So long as he was alive and well, she would gladly sacrifice a lot for him. And that feeling left her even more uneasy. |
Right as soon as Akio heard the young girl's next question about his own silence possibility being a sign of his displeasure. He just stared at her with a little frown across his lips, the little bit of serious behind them turned immediately to a more saddened one as he simply shook his head once more. "No..I..I simply don't want others..to be hurt.." he stated looking down at his own two hands as he noticed how they began to shake a bit lightly; the fear of seeing anymore death of innocent people was just as frightening as if it was the same day of seeing his father and mother die in front of his face. Originally, Akio never really thought it through why he didn't care for anyone around him and only cared for vengeance for his family. But now that he had been able to speak with this young girl and figure out that she actually loved him; made him think it through a bit more as he finally realized the truth behind his own thoughts. "I just..dont want to get too close to others..I don't want anyone else to die..because of me." he stated clenching down onto his fists lightly once more.
Soon enough when the young girl began to speak once more about her not going to die if she didn't get that energy she needed. Akio gave a little nod as he began to walk forward with her beside him once more. Now the reason behind his own anger and pain was finally revealed to himself while he continued to walk back to the tavern with the young girl. All of a sudden, as they approached closer and closer to the tavern; it seemed as though the ground was beginning to shake once more. Feeling that, Akio turned his head back to look back into the dark forest only to hear the sound of the beast coming back. Giving a little sigh, he completely turned around and walked a bit forward toward the darkness of the woods. "Please..stay here..I can't let this thing..reach the tavern." he spoke than paused for a moment as the ground continued to shake even more from the beast getting closer and closer. "I'm still not sure who you are..but thank you for helping me..see who I really am." he spoke as his own tone of voice began to sound as though a small demonic tone and a small heavenly booming tone was beginning to overlap it as well. |
"And if I lose you before I ever truly find you?" she asked in a soft uncertain voice. Divine just shook her head slightly. Wanting to stop him but knowing that he'd do this anyway. She'd let him go, this once. But she couldn't lose to this. She was going have to accept this and stand behind him. "I accept all of who you are, you're past, present and future..." she said softly. She smiled gently and then walked closer to him, she gently embraced him and hugged him from behind, careful of his wings.
"I'll wait right here... alright? Just come back to me, alive..." she whispered against his back, before letting go and then backing away slowly. |
As Akio stepped a little closer to the darkness of the forest, he stopped for a moment and gave a little smile staring into the darkness as he saw the beast's red eyes coming closer and closer. "Than I'll make sure..you don't lose me." he stated bluntly with his own tone sounding low and gentle as he continued to step closer and closer into the darkness hearing the next thing she said. All of a sudden, hearing that she would actually accept him for his past, present and future; Akio stopped once more in his tracks as he lowered his head down almost as though he were sad but to be honest there was a smile on his face. Deep down whether he knew it or not, that was actually the exact words he wanted to hear someone say to him. He wanted to know deep within himself that even though he had changed so much from his past til now; someone would understand and still accept him. So just hearing her request for him to come back alive; he slowly lifted his head as he saw the large beast charging out toward Akio. "I will come back alive..I promise." he stated once more as the beast lifted all four of it's fists into the air ramming them down to the ground with a large explosion of dirt and dust bursting into the air. By the time most of the dirt and dust had evaporated from the air, Akio was actually standing right there holding up one of the large beast's fist that was right over his head while the other fists were right beside him. Akio's body at this point was once more consumed by the black flames but this time; he was in complete control so the flames weren't really burning his skin at this point. "Sorry...I can't let you kill me this time.." Akio whispered quietly to the beast as it's own two red eyes widened up when he suddenly ripped the beast's arm right off from it's own shoulder only to have it burn and disappear into ashes within Akio's own grasp.
|
Carpathia gasped lightly when Azrael kissed her back. She relaxed and kisses him back, she gently pushed him away and looked at him with a soft smile, "Do you really love me?" she asked gently wrapping her arms around him.
Blood Heart caught it as the portal closed, "Damn you Azrael, GET HER BACK!!" he shouted summoning her claws and lunged at him with anger in his eyes. |
Azrael Stopped him by just Raising his hand, creating a small barrier. " She is mine, you cannot have her."
|
(Gomen!!! I was having my comp debugged!!!)
Divine just watched with a bit of fear for Akio, until she realized that it was not needed. He could handle himself, she was sure that she didn't have to watch over his shoulder. She clasped her hands in front of her and stood there. Watching him, praying, hoping. He said that he'd come back, that she wouldn't lose him. So she knew it wass going to be alright. As long as she believed in him, and was willing to wait for him. Any and everything was possible. She wrapped her wings closely around her and shivered a little, watching him with much intent. |
