Gemini hummed softly to herself as she worked,seasoning and cooking the meat."It's almost done.I'm making one special for you,Skylar.How do you like your meat?" She asked.

Skylar screeched and hissed slightly while cooing. "Rare..." translated Ethan from where he sat, now writing in a journal silently to himself. "Skylar isn't too picky...I think." he added and chuckled.

Gemini smiled."Ok,rare it is,then." She said,setting aside a juicy looking steak for the dragon."Ethan,how about potatoes and carrots with the steak?"

Hearing the word potatoes, Skylar screeched loudly and looked over at Ethan who was beaming. "P-Potatoes?!" he repeated and grinned. "I'd love that!" he exclaimed. Truth was, Ethan absolutely love potatoes and would eat them with anything in a heartbeat.

Gemini raised an eyebrow and chuckled."all right then,potatoes it is." She said,turning to prepare the potatoes."Would you like them baked or mashed?" She asked,washing them off.

Ethan listened to her and thought about it. He loved them either way...but which one did he want right now? "How about baked please?" he asked kindly and grinned happily. Baked potatoes with carrots and steak...sounded really good actually.

Gemini nodded."Baked.You've got it." She said,and started preparing the carrots and potatoes.It took close to an hour for her to finish,but by the time dinner was ready,the whole house smelled like steak."Dinner's ready! Come get it." She called out,setting out place settings and silverware.She also provided a choice of milk,water or apple juice.

Skylar flew to the table and curled up on a chair as he waited patiently to eat. Ethan walked over and smiled when he saw the food. "This looks really good Gemini." he said before stealing a kiss on the cheek and smirking. "Go on Skylar, eat up." he said softly and smiled when Skylar began to tear off bites of his steak. Ethan watched for a while before pouring himself a glass of milk and began to eat his food quietly. The flavors were perfected and the potatoes tasted heavenly.

Gemini smiled,genuinely pleased that Ethan and Skylar liked the meal she had prepared.Getting herself a plate with steak,a potato and plenty of carrots,Gemini sat at the table and got a glass of milk for herself as well.She cut her meat carefully,so as not to choke on a too large piece,and added a bit of pepper.Gemini seemed to pour every ounce of her concentration into everything she did,from making clothes to cutting meat to pouring milk.

Watching her, Ethan chuckled. "You're a perfectionist aren't you?" he teased and took a bite of the steak and potato. Gemini was amazing in everything she did, from clothes to food, to little flower crowns. She's a talented princess, and I love her. he thought to himself as he ate some carrots.

Gemini looked up."Huh? Oh...I don't know.I wouldn't say perfectionist...I just tend to concentrate on things really hard." She said,blushing.Perhaps she was a perfectionist.She had never really thought about it before.Watching Ethan take another bite,Gemini felt particularly happy.Happy that he was hers and she was his,and that she could make him happy.Happy that he loved her and liked her cooking.Happy that she loved him so fully.

"Isn't that a perfectionist Gemini?" he asked and smiled. "Well no matter what, I'll always love you." he commented as he continued eating happily. Ethan was surprised...she had actually stayed with him..and now she was his. She had never run from him, she had never been afraid. Gemini had allowed him to enter into her life. She had allowed him to bring her home and to love her. Since the day they met he wanted nothing more than to be with her, and now it had become reality.

Gemini blushed and wrapped her hands around her cup."Okay,so maybe I am a perfectionist." She admitted.She fell silent for a moment while they ate.Even as Ethan was thinking of his good fortune,Gemini was reflecting on hers.How amazingly lucky was she that he had taken her in? And not only that,but he had put up with her weakness and hopeless ignorance of the world.He had faced her nightmarish memories and fearful past right along with her,without getting annoyed at her or giving up.And now it seemed like they could do anything together.They were together for the long run."Ethan? When will we get married? I know it's silly,but I feel like once we make it official,nothing in the world could ever come between us.Like,if we each wear a ring...then it's..." She trailed off and blushed again."I-I know that a commitment doesn't need rings or a ceremony to make it real,but ever since I was little,my mother's wedding ring was a symbol of true and everlasting love.I guess I'm just a silly little girl,with dreams like that..."

Ethan took a drink of his milk and blinked as his thoughts were interrupted by her lovely voice. "Married?" he repeated and smiled. He knew that this was going to be a topic on her mind, and he was ready to talk about it with her. ""It's not silly at all Gemini. I knew this was a topic that would have to be discussed at some point right?" he answered and looked at her seriously. "I love you Gemini, you know that. All I want, is for you to be happy." he started. "If you want rings I'll get you the most lovely ring out there. You want a ceremony? You shall have your ceremony." he answered and walked over to where she sat before kissing her cheek. "Whatever you want, it's yours." he added softly.

Gemini blushed and hugged him."Thank you.It's so sweet of you to understand.But I don't need anything fancy,really.You don't have to get me any expensive ring or fancy ceremony." She said,wanting him to know."I don't mind a simple ring and a nice,quiet ceremony with just us and Skylar."

Ethan hugged her back and ran his fingers through her hair gently. "If you want a simple ceremony fine...but you are getting a lovely ring because you deserve only the best Gemini." he whispered softly as he smiled. "A lovely lady like you deserves to wear a lovely ring as well." he added and smiled.

Gemini smiled and nodded."Ok,if you want to.I'm not completely convinced that I deserve anything fancy or lovely,but I won't stop you." She said with a hint of humor in her voice.Of course,as a breathing female,she wouldn't mind a pretty ring to wear.But she also didn't want him to go to too much trouble for her.

Ethan pulled away and looked at her. "Now now, no need to talk like that." he said even though he knew she was being sarcastic. "You deserve the best." he insisted and sat back down to finish eating. "However, when I leave to get you your ring, you'll be alone here with Skylar so please be careful okay? If you go outside, don't stay out too late." he said and hated how he sounded like a parent when he said that. Skylar had already finished his food and was happily curled up on the chair.

Gemini looked up at Ethan and chuckled."Of course,I'll be careful.Ethan,I'm a big girl,you don't have to worry about me.Besides,Skylar wouldn't let anything happen to me.We'll keep each other company." She said,smiling fondly at the baby dragon.She was almost finished with her steak."Would you like my potatoes? I'm getting full."

"I know you're a big girl, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't worry about you." he answered and smiled. "True, Skylar would never allow anything bad to happen to you." he added and chuckled. "Sure I'll take your potatoes Gemini." he said happily. He had already finished his potatoes so he didn't mind getting more.

Gemini gave her potatoes to Ethan and finished her steak."Well,once you've finished,I'll do the dishes,and then it's off to bed.I'm tired,after all the fresh air and...exercise...that we got today." She said,blushing a bit as she recalled the day's activities.

Ethan began to eat her potatoes with his steak and smirked at what she said. "Gemini, you can go ahead and get some sleep now. I'll do the dishes, it's fine." he assured and smiled as he continued to eat. Skylar cooed softly and looked at Ethan who fed him some more of his steak. "There, no more or you might get sick." he said and chuckled.

Gemini smiled."Oh,thank you! That's so kind of you." She said,standing up.She patted Skylar on the head gently."I'm glad you liked my cooking,Skylar.I can make you food anytime you need it." She said and headed to bed."Good night,Ethan.Good night,Skylar."

"Goodnight Gemini, sweet dreams." he said and watched her leave as he continued to eat quietly. When he was done, he took the dishes to the sink and began to wash them carefully while Skylar perched up on his shoulder. "We should get some sleep too buddy." he whispered once he was done and dried his hands before heading to his room to sleep.
