Well thats the thing, how could someone have not seen someone under a bleacher? They are open.

The Wandering Poet 04-15-2013 09:00 PM

Looked at a Gif of the explosion... rather large. Apparently it was targeting the packed group of spectators...

I heard they were in trash cans. That would be easy to pull off.

Right now, I'm incredibly thankful that my two friends up in Boston are fine. But this whole thing is crazy... </3

That's good to hear.

The Wandering Poet 04-15-2013 09:03 PM

Trying to look closely at the bleachers... by the looks of it there were a lot of empty spots when it went off...
They probably expected the finish to be packed.

secretdae007 04-15-2013 09:06 PM

They suspect that a lot of people left after the winners finished the race. People cross the finish line for hours after the first place winner, so many people had left by then.

Jack MacGaven 04-15-2013 09:06 PM

They probably did. And they would've succeeded if they did it in Rotterdam. I think people are lucky it wasn't THAT crowded. I think it's still sick and twisted.

dessertdesiert 04-15-2013 09:07 PM

What happened @.@

Kirin Rosenbaum 04-15-2013 09:08 PM

Bombing at the Boston Marathon. So seriously fucked up. Ugh.

That's what they were saying on the news, about the slightly lower crowd than what had been there an hour earlier.

Kirin Rosenbaum 04-15-2013 09:14 PM

My thought is that they just wanted to cause panic. That's my thought on it, but who knows.

Jack MacGaven 04-15-2013 09:19 PM

THEY FAILED! From what I saw the emergency people on duty reacted the right way, even the bystanders were wonderful!

The Wandering Poet 04-15-2013 09:22 PM

Apparently there were 3 bombs and an incendiary... the last of which they were trying to burn the JFK library down with

Yep. Everything was amazing.

They aren't sure yet if the one at the JFK was connected to the others. They are still trying to figure that out for sure.

The Wandering Poet 04-15-2013 09:29 PM

Wouldn't be surprised.

Place 4 detonations in 4 different locations. If their goal was panic, that would probably do it... the library alone would cause a lot of panic. Water or fire the books would end up ruined.

Kirin Rosenbaum 04-15-2013 09:30 PM

Yeah. But it seems that they have it all under control. And, not surprisingly D.C. is on high alert. Not surprising at all.

dessertdesiert 04-15-2013 09:33 PM

I doubt they anything will happen in D.C.

Kirin Rosenbaum 04-15-2013 09:43 PM

Yeah but they are on high alert, just in case. Better safe then sorry.

So let's talk about something else now. Please.

dessertdesiert 04-15-2013 09:46 PM

I like your outfit Kirin :)

The Wandering Poet 04-15-2013 09:51 PM

Yup better safe than sorry... always a good thing to do...

Why would someone even do that?

What do you mean? There was an explosion so some people lost limbs. It's not like they chose to see people's limbs flying.

And they probably wouldnt let you into that part of the city.

They are pretty much saying the bombs were planted. There speculations lean towards a domestic attack.

The Wandering Poet 04-15-2013 10:03 PM

The unpleasantries would be moreso referring to why would someone cause that... not see it

dessertdesiert 04-15-2013 10:04 PM

It was the year of Jubilee and stood still...

Gosh i got this song stuck in my head..
