lol. My ringtone is "Cry for the Moon" by Epica. XD

I think it would be awesome to have a Mario ringtone. XD

strange_dreams_512 12-29-2009 03:29 AM

Awesome haha but guess what XD
I DO have a Mario ringtone lol.. and the chocobo song is for my fiance lol because he used to whistle it a lot.. Specifically the text tone I have right now is Saria's song from LoZ: OoT

Maria-Minamino 12-29-2009 03:29 AM

@Terrena - I was hoping to avoid downloading firefox on this computer - it's a netbook so it's already a slower computer than most and downloading more stuff will just cause it to slow down D: But I might have to do that...or find a computer that already has it on there. D:

@Strange dreams - yeah - I always wanted to play FF...just never did XD I LOVELOVELOVE Zelda though. Until the gamecube came out, the only game system my family owned was the original nintendo and we had three games - super mario brothers, tetris, and Zelda - I used to play zelda for hours on end - I loved it.

TerrenaAnimula 12-29-2009 03:32 AM

I'm using a laptop and it runs circles around my desktop. XD But my desktop is 8years old and I will be buying a new one that comes with more RAM than I can max this thing out. So, it will be faster then. My laptop is over 2 years old now.

lol. I loved clicking on the Chocobos on FFX! Just to hear them! ^^

I'll be back on later. I'm getting off of here to go take a shower before it gets to late to where I can't get it. I live in an apartment and when you run the shower, the person below us can hear it. We can also hear her shower running from there there up here as well.

So, talk to yall a little later.

strange_dreams_512 12-29-2009 03:32 AM

Maria- maybe you can d/l firefox and take off IE?? Idk if that would work for you but it might be an option, ya?

Omg!! Ya!! I know what you're talking about! XD We had an Atari and an original nintendo system.. we had Mario and then also a minnie and mickey game.. one more I think but i don't remember what else.. And now we have liek 6 computers, an xbox360, ps2, sega genesis, nintendo64, and a few DS Lites.. oh ya and a wii... XD

Terrena- heheh ya of course.. you gotta click on them.. they're begging you XD
alright, (= enjoy getting yourself squeaky clean~

Maria-Minamino 12-29-2009 03:35 AM

@Terrena - netbooks just have slow processing speeds and smaller memories than even a laptop XD because they're so small - they have no room for big stuff inside it XDD

I can try my mom's desktop tomorrow though - and see if that works XD I hope it does XD

aw - that's nice that you are considerate not to shower too loud too late XD see you later!

@Strange dreams - lol But i like IE XD I know I'm weird XD
lol - my family owns an original nintendo (actually two - one is my stepdads, the other is ours), I own a nintendo gamecube, and a nintendo DS (my friends bought it for me for my birthday) but that's it. We had a PS2 but it totally broke down after years of use. I want a PSP and PS3 so badly D: so many good games on it!

strange_dreams_512 12-29-2009 03:38 AM

Oh ya did I mention gamecube? idk.. but we have one of those too.. : o It's mine now though because my brother got the wii..
I'm not sure if I could ever really get used to IE.. but whatever floats your boat I suppose. : o
Lol yes can't deny that... hm.. lol when was your bday? ^^

Maria-Minamino 12-29-2009 03:43 AM

@strange dreams - my birthday is the last day of may XD My two friends decided that they were going to pair up and buy me a DS - it was a total shock XD But I thoroughly enjoy it - I have never had a handheld game console before XD

I love my gamecube - one of my fav. games of all time is super smash brothers melee <3 It's SOOO much fun!

Aw - wii's are so much fun! My roommate/friends (the ones that gave me the DS) both have one and I love playing it!

I've just always used internet explorer so old habits die hard I suppose XD

strange_dreams_512 12-29-2009 03:47 AM

Oh no wayyy.. my fiance's birthday is the first day of May lol XD
Hai hai well it is awesome having it handheld.. it was certainly a pleasant shock to see that when it came out : 3 spent so much time at Target playing demos lol XD thats what you call no money but then I bought one finally when I went to Japan ^^ That was nice of your friends though : D
Hahah that's funny I was just talking about that game and the other person didn't know who Sheik was.. I was like "yknow. you press down+b and transform" and they were sooo confused XD
yesss i know lol its because they're interactive (=
i suppose that is true lol xD

Maria-Minamino 12-29-2009 03:52 AM

@strange dreams - lol! I know so many may birthdays XD My two brothers and I were all born in may XD

You've been to japan? I'm so jealous, I really want to go!

Yeah - I just always played my friend's games and game systems because I was too cheap to buy one for myself. I really wanted a DS or PSP though and my friends knew that XD It was definatly very sweet and amazing of them to do that for me! I have such awesome friends XDD

lol - people dont know sheik? XD It's hard to transform into her in the middle of a battle though - I actually prefer to just stick to zelda when I play her in that game Xd My fav. character to play though is definatly Link. He's so awesome in melee - not as much in brawl. Although I still love to play him in brawl, but pit I play about the same in that game when I play.

strange_dreams_512 12-29-2009 04:02 AM

Oh really? lol I don't know very many people with May birthdays but talking to you makes one more (=
Haha ya in 07 I went with my family.. It was a family trip to visit family. ... >> << I hope just this little bit if I translate is okay... (日本人ですから。) It's because we're Japanese xD My dad was born in Sasebo, near Nagasaki : o I was born here in America but i think I feel the Japanese part of me more than anything else so I pushed my family to save and we finally made it there XD It was soooo much fun.. so amazing. you have to go : o!!
Oh well I don't blame you, those are awesome systems to be dazzled by lol. xD
Hmmm idk why but I always have had a liking to playing with either Samus or Marth.....

Maria-Minamino 12-29-2009 04:08 AM

@strange dreams - lol I'm not japanese but I still wnat to go. I actually don't know what I am - I'm adopted and don't know my cultural background XD So sad D: although a lot of people think I'm irish - I've got the red hair/pale skin thing going on XD

That sounds amazing though! I've known a few people who have been to japan and I'm envious of them all! I've always wanted to go - it's just so expensive! But I'm determined to save up money once I'm out of college and make it there sometime! That would be such a great and amazing experience!

it's great that your father got to go back to japan though! It must be hard to be away because some of your family is there. One of my close friends, her parents were both born in india but they moved to the U.S. They don't get to visit often because of the money - my friend has only been there once in her life XD

TerrenaAnimula 12-29-2009 04:14 AM

Hi! I'm back now.

strange_dreams_512 12-29-2009 04:15 AM

Oh, really? I've never met someone who was adopted before... hmm.. so how is that working for you? Have you been with the family for long?
Ya, that's probable.. that you're Irish if that's the case.. hmmm...
lol well it is a very prosperous country ^_^ hmm btw a tip.. for if and when you go there.. your daily living costs less if you live like a Japanese person.. ie..
American = drinking coffee, Japanese = tea
American = taxis and cars, Japanese = bikes and buses
They have both options of both western and what is considered more Japanese all throughout the country... but it would be a very good idea to save a bit of a buffer anyways if you're planning on going into a country where you're not as familiar with how things work.
Yeahhh he lived there from when he was born until he was 3 then visited when he was 10, then visited again on his 50th birthday lol

Terrena- welcome back : D

TerrenaAnimula 12-29-2009 04:22 AM

I've met at least four people who were adopted. Basically, my mom worked with their mother and I was in the same grade with the one and we were/are friends. Although, she and her sister that was adopted, they are actual sisters by blood. They're both from India. The two boys are both America-born.

Maria-Minamino 12-29-2009 04:26 AM

@Terrena - welcome back! How are you doing? I have to adopted brothers and we're all from different families XD

@strange dreams - I've been with my adopted mom since I was a baby - she's just my mom - she raised me like I was her own and i love her and my stepdad!

lol I hate coffee and drink only tea, and I don't drive XD Seriously I'm 20 years old and don't have my liscence...I just started to learn how to drive but I still prefer to just walk to places if I can. Or carpool if I have too XDDD

strange_dreams_512 12-29-2009 04:33 AM

Ohh how sweet.. ^-^
hmm well that looks like it would work out in your interest then lol.. xD hm actually.. I'm 17 and I have a permit but I'm not even sure if I wanna get a license because my fiance and i are planning to go to college, stay around for a bit but after that we're straight to Japan... : o

TerrenaAnimula 12-29-2009 04:35 AM

I've only had a license for over a year now. And I'm 20. I had a learner's for 4 years and never bothered with learning until I started going to a community college and my grandparent's who were taking me there every day made me take behind the wheel (they paid for it) and get my license.

Maria-Minamino 12-29-2009 04:38 AM

@strange dreams - it kind of sucks sometimes up at school when you need to rely on other people to go to places. Like I have to do service learning because I'm a music education major and i need to be in a classroom observing and helping out at least ten hours a semester and I need to get people to drive me to the schools because they are so far aways so that's hard to set up. and my choir concerts are ALWAYS offcampus which is annoying XD But it has it's perks - I save money on having to not pay for insurance, gas, a car, and a parking permit XD So much cheaper!

My best friend wanted to teach english in japan once she got her degree - I don't know if she still does....but it would be nice to go there sometime...study abroad or teach or just live there for a year or something. That would be such a great experience especially because western music learning is so much different than eastern. I would get so much out of it not just because I would love to go but it would be a great musical experience!

@Terrena - one of the reasons I just don't want to drive is because my parents really can't afford to help me pay for any of it .... so I'd have to pay for the car, insurance, gas, permits, all by myself XD and I don't have that kind of money D:

strange_dreams_512 12-29-2009 04:45 AM

Yaa no kidding. Turns out that even though my dad can afford all of this stuff for himself like a new laptop and tv, he put invested a total of $2000 in my future. I can take it or leave it but that's what he's paying for helping with anything in my entire life lol because i never ask him for anything so I've spent him maybe some air and food and a bit of clothes. It's a lot better than nothing though...: o I was thinking of using a bit of that to help pay for my wedding though and have the rest as a buffer or something.. hmmm idk... but car stuff can get so expensive so sometimes it's really not worth it.

Hmm my great aunts in Japan wanted me to become an english teacher and Japan and I said yes but honestly I don't think that'd work out too well for a number of reasons.. although yes eventually a job in Japan will happen xD
*blah blah blah rant rant* >> <<

TerrenaAnimula 12-29-2009 04:45 AM

Our parking permit is free as long as you are a student.

I didn't pay for my car. Or the insurance. My dad pays for it but he hates doing it. He thinks my mom should do it since I live with her but our groceries are mainly from her tips she gets every week. Thing is, my dad has the money to pay for it. He keeps on saying he has enough to buy a brand new car. It was going to be a miata, but now he is thinking about the nissan altima.

I only pay for gas. And I have to buy premium. So I'm glad I work. Unfortunately, I only have a couple more days of working before they lay me off until April because we are a small business and I get laid off during the slow time and get brought back when it starts picking up again. But at least I make like 20cents over minimum wage now instead of minimum wage.

My dad seems like yours. He complains about not having the money and having the money in the same sentence. He can't buy me anything except for food when I'm with him. And yet he spends money on himself. Like his camera and it's accessories, and he's LCD 50" tv. I think it was 50"...it may be 52".

strange_dreams_512 12-29-2009 04:46 AM

Awww stupid economy going all haywire its so hard for people to have jobbsss Dx

Edit: yeahhh he works for the state with the most seniority there so he has all of these benefits and paid vacation and whatnot.. bought a 54" flat screen and we now have more computers in the house than there regularly are people.. And here my mom is homeless and he complains about helping her with anything at all..

Maria-Minamino 12-29-2009 04:51 AM

@strange dreams - yeah - my parents just don't have a lot of extra money. But they pay for my food and stuff every now and then when they can. And they never make me pay for things when I come home, unless it's like stuff for me (books, fun stuff, clothing)...just no rent or food or whatever like a lot of parents do.

I have enough saved up that I can get a really junky car when I need to get one. I'll be getting one over summer because I have to do my internship next year and sometimes they place you in schools that are 45 minutes away from college campus by car D:

Well, do what you want to do - but you'll be able to do anything you want in Japan really....so it shouldn't be hard to find something. What do you want to major in?

@Terrena - at one point my father could have paid for a car for me but when my parents divorced, he told my mom, "don't expect ONE CENT from me past the child support!" ....and he didn't even pay child support all the time D: XDDD My mom and stepdad would help if they could...they just can't and I understand XD

I work for housing on my campus - I don't get paid much and I don't get a lot of hours...I'll get 13 a week this coming semester - but it's nice to have a job at least - it pays for food and stuff XDD

My campus is SOOO huge there isn't enough parking for everyone - so we have to pay for permits D: We have over 50,000 students XD

TerrenaAnimula 12-29-2009 04:54 AM

Yep, that pretty much sums up my dad as well, except he doesn't work for the state. He works in a factory and is an electrician there among other things.

Maria, my dad quit paying child support once I turned 18. My mom did think about taking him back to court to continue it till I was 21 but she couldn't afford court costs and everything. He still pays her alimony though. He forgets to give it to me to give to her most of the time. So he either gives it to her late from his own memory, or she actually has to call him.

And that's 2 hours more than what I work. I only get 11 hours a week. Well, once I stopped working in the eatery it was only 4 hours a week so that's what I am currently working. Although, I get a little bit more this week thanks to having to help do inventory.

Maria-Minamino 12-29-2009 04:57 AM

@Terrena - my dad stopped paying child support after I turned 18 as well...all of us have turned 18 by now and so it's stopped completely. But when we were still under 18 and he was supposed to pay by law, he still wouldnt' pay it...we'd go 5 or 6 months without it until finally the courts got tired of him doing that and made it so that it was just deducted from his paycheck every month and automatically went to my mom. that was a long fight D: XD

This semester I only had 6 hours a week XD so 13 is much better than what I've been getting!
