What if they fall in love with each other? but what if Maria wants to turn human. to be with Trevor yet in order to be with. each other they must prove their love for each other. Maria would have to give up her life as mermaid. that she would be able to live on land. you can pick what happens with your guy.

my question is would they trust Maria enough. that she will not just leave then never come back to her new home? she is use to the life of being in the big ocean blue.
