It's Italian cream. It's not as thick as pudding it's definitely not whipped cream. And my Nonna used to make it not too sweet because sweet stuff upsets my stomach and she would always put lemon in it for me so it was like lemon cream it's just unbelievably good. There's an Italian Delicatessen shopping mart that sells the mini ones and it's a Chocolate shell with raspberry cream and I swear I could eat them until I die. Controlling myself and not eating too many is a big chore

Isn't the canoli cream made with cream cheese?

I don't like creamy cheeses but I definitely love the ones that Italian desserts are made with. ^_^

I think my Nona used Regatta cheese. I don't know they did all kinds of weird stuff to get me to eat things. I was, and still am sort of, a really picky eater and anemic. So they're always sticking things in everything to get me iron and protein etc etc. But the consistency is like a light pudding. It's not runny and it like sets up. It's just I don't care what's in it it's good.

No cooked spinach. I do eat raw baby spinach in my salads. Got to get that iron.

My favorite desserts are cannolis. I love the cream and usually just eat that instead of eating the shell. I just use a spoon and scoop it out

The real question is does Popeye eat bad spinach?
The answer lies in the afforeposted video, of course.

I cannot watch video here.
I have my background inverted color wise
so videos are in negative colors *shutters*

I like cooked spinach...but not canned spinach.
Canned spinach is slimy and bitter.
Frozen spinach is pretty good when heated correctly and not overcooked.
Fresh spinach cooked with fried bacon added is pretty good.
But lots of people don't like spinach.
I think it's mostly because they were given canned or overcooked spinach and it turned them away from it.
I was that way with zucchini...I was served some overcooked, slimy zucchini when I was a kid and I instantly "didn't like zucchini!"
But when I was older I was served some lightly sauteed zucchini cooked in butter and I found it delicious!

hummy 08-06-2018 08:20 AM

yeah, when you get food introduced to you and it's cooked badly you get weary to try it again
that happened to me with tofu, too *gags uncontrollably*

Inzanebraned 08-06-2018 08:26 AM

Yeah...I once had a soup with little squares of tofu in it...
I tried a piece of the tofu and it came back out of my mouth faster than it went in! YUCK!
The soup was delicious...I just picked all the tofu out.

hummy 08-06-2018 08:29 AM

I will never give tofu another chance...yuck!

Like hummy, I can only handle the baby spinach leaves in salads. But I do enjoy a gourmet spinach and artichoke dip.

hummy 08-06-2018 03:07 PM

I have never had spinach and artichoke dip

It's a common chip dip choice at certain discriminating eateries like T.G.I.Friday's or Applebees. But be warned that all spinach artichoke dips are not created equally. Certain discount or exclusions may apply. Not available in all areas. Women who are pregnant or who may become pregnant shouldn't even be reading this disclaimer.

hummy 08-06-2018 03:27 PM

LOL oh my goodness that disclaimer

I prefer roasted red pepper and greek yogurt dip, thank you

hummy 08-06-2018 03:58 PM

Spinach and artichoke dip is great! I would totally gorge myself on it... probably good that I can't have it ahaha

hummy 08-06-2018 04:19 PM

honestly, It doesn't sound appealing

Zephi 08-06-2018 04:53 PM

Yeah... but it tastes better than it sounds. But if you pass, that just means more for everyone else :p

hummy 08-06-2018 05:21 PM

I like letting those who love it have more

Zephi 08-06-2018 05:23 PM

True true. Then everyone is happy

hummy 08-06-2018 05:35 PM

and I like it like that

Zephi 08-06-2018 05:38 PM

Well yeah. I mean who wouldn't

hummy 08-06-2018 05:42 PM

Zephi 08-06-2018 05:43 PM
