Welsh, so aye they are.

We mainly pump out pop though, it's a bit shit really.

Yep! I listen to mostly British music... I'm British though, so I would!

It's so weird that so many of our bands are breaking into America now!

A few months ago, an American friend of mine was moaning about not being able to get a ticket for a huge sold out Snow Patrol gig in the US.
I mean, Snow Patrol? I went to see those guys play a really intimate gig just last year!
The drummer bought me a pint after the show because it was my birthday. :D

Actually, m'dear, rock and indie albums are both currently out-selling pop albums by quite a large amount.

they_call_me_kitten 11-10-2007 02:40 AM

Franz Ferdinand isn't British....

SexualPlacebo 11-11-2007 03:26 PM

Cherish - Out selling maybe.
We're still producing a ton more pop with all these X-factor things. Ew.

And indie pisses me off too. WAY too much of that.

they_call_me_kitten 11-11-2007 03:30 PM

What's wrong with indie music?

Please explain.

SexualPlacebo 11-11-2007 03:32 PM

I personally do not like it and think it all sounds the same. Do you have something wrong with my opinion?

they_call_me_kitten 11-11-2007 03:33 PM

I have a question.

What kind of music do you listen to?

SexualPlacebo 11-11-2007 03:35 PM

Hmn, a huge mix.
If I like it. I'll listen to it.

they_call_me_kitten 11-11-2007 03:37 PM

Just not indie.

I find that funny.

SexualPlacebo 11-11-2007 03:43 PM

Wtf. Just because I personally don't like indie. Chill out.

I don't listen to rap either. Don't like that.

they_call_me_kitten 11-11-2007 03:44 PM

I'm not flipping out at you, I just find a minimal amount of hilarity in your dislike of indie music.

Don't get defensive, I'm not attacking you.

SexualPlacebo 11-11-2007 03:48 PM

Um. Right, whatever.

I listen to a huge mix. Most indie I dislike, not because it's labeled indie. Just because I don't like the music itself. There are probably one or two indie songs somewhere on my comp. Same with rap, most pop and alot of hard metal and stuff.

they_call_me_kitten 11-11-2007 03:55 PM

Haha! That makes it even funnier.

And what about indie music don't you like? The mellowness, the actual talent? I'm curious.

SexualPlacebo 11-11-2007 03:58 PM

I just personally don't like it.
End of. Ffs.

Go piss someone else off.

they_call_me_kitten 11-11-2007 03:59 PM

I wasn't trying to piss you off.

You just got overly defensive.

That's not my fault.

I was simply asking a question.

SexualPlacebo 11-11-2007 04:01 PM

ERGH. I'm not getting defensive i'm just bored of having my opinions questioned.

they_call_me_kitten 11-11-2007 04:02 PM

You are getting defensive, but hey, believe what you want.

I'm just wondering what you find to be so disdainful about indie music.

SexualPlacebo 11-11-2007 04:04 PM

I just don't like it. What's so hard about that to accept? It bores me.

they_call_me_kitten 11-11-2007 04:08 PM

It's only hard to accept because there are so many different kinds of indie.

Most bands start out on an indie label, regardless of their genre.

Teh Rob_Roy 11-11-2007 07:22 PM

+ i'm from scotland, and i was going to gigs of their's before anyone had even heard of 'em

they_call_me_kitten 11-11-2007 07:44 PM

That's doesn't mean they're not Swedish.

I'm not saying you're wrong or anything, it's just not what I heard.

SexualPlacebo 11-11-2007 07:46 PM

Is there anything you don't think is wrong?

Teh Rob_Roy 11-11-2007 07:48 PM

well, lead singer was born in england and went to a scottish music college

drummer is scottish, bassist is english, and backing singer is english as well

but the band came from scotland, so they are considered a scottish band, kthnxbai
