Wow, I had no idea so many people posted in here. lol. I will read all the posts- but actually, a couple months ago, after making this thread, I read on Mugglenet that they actually made a harry potter musical somewhere in the UK (probably london, but I am not too sure) called "Potted Potter" and it was like a Harry Potter play with music! How cool is that? I hope something like that comes to the US. EDIT: and to everyone about Harry Potter music: Have any of you ever familiarized yourselves with Wizard Rock? It's a totally revolutionary genre- music about Harry Potter. They should totally make a wizard rock musical with permission of the artists they choose. Couldn't you see people singing songs from Harry and the Potters on stage in a musical? |
I don't doubt that they'll do it. It seems like something that would work, if they pulled it off with the right crew and the right composers.
Besides, some of the best musicals have been derived from books. Les Miserables, anyone? |
I think it would be a treat for hardcore fans in the future. : ) Loads of people have already written music about Harry Potter, wizard rock, and I'm sure that there will be tons of crew people willing to do something Harry Potter. I've never read Les Miserables, sorry. D: I do know that Phantom of the Opera was originally a book, though, and look how that's turned out. |
Haha, I have gotten into some wizard rock xD My personal favorites are Harry and the Potters and the Remus Lupins. I kind of listen to other bands on occasions but not much xD

No offense, I mean, great idea but how do you think they'd do battle scenes with voldemort? I don't even think Daniel Radcliffe can sing. It'll be interesting to watch though...if it does com out!!

Well, they probably wouldn't use the actors from the movies for a musical... That's what they usually do anyway. Plus, musicals can run for a long time as oppose to movies.
And you are probably right in assuming that Daniel Radcliffe probably can't sing. |
Alot of people would go see it simply because it was Harry Potter. But I think it would need some really good writers for it to really work. It would be fun to see what sorta songs people come up with.

That sounds like a silly idea, but at the time it might be a lot of fun. Didn't they make a Lord of the Rings musical, after all? Or is that just my imagination acting up, again...?

Harry Potter the Musical! XD Well, I saw Harry and the Potters play at the local library. Draco and the Malfoys opened for them xD. It was really funny. Look them up! Oh, I hear that the Lion King Live musical is supossed to be amazing. I have the soundtrack, but I would like to see the puppets and stuff. |
