Ohhh, I am so putting in a pond this year. With fishies and turtles and frogs and peculiar species of plants. O.O
*envisions my own personal oasis right in my own front yard*
Here's what I want; a circle of super tall sunflowers with a space between them as a doorway. Maybe buy an arch to put there and cover with something that climbs. Then on the farthest side of the circle (inside) will be my pond, and then I'll have a bench and random other flowers planted in between the sunflowers. ((I live by a busy road and my main thing is that I don't want them to be able to see me in my oasis.))
I don't think that it'd even really be that hard to pull off either. Sunflowers are easy to grow, and ponds can't be that hard to put in, and I wouldn't imagine that they'd be too expensive either.

Ohh. I haven't really uploaded much to there in a long time so I guess I've never noticed the lag.

your oasis sounds lovely.
get an arbor and cover it in vines.
that would be beautiful and focus attention on the sunflowers until you got in to your actual oasis!
