It was a great game, but they decided it wasn't bringing in enough money. They still have it available to play, but now it is just sort of on maintenance mode. There are no developers working on it & the servers get recycled once a week or so.
They decided to pull the developers off of it & have them work on the social games - to be added as facebook games - the ones they did all flopped. Then they let the ones who were working on them go.
The site lost some great developers because of that.

Yeah, they are based too much on money. I understand the need to keep of it to keep it going, but they seem to have lost focus on the users.
