I'm living in college and the common room and kitchen is downstairs in a basement that is only accessible from the outside. : (

Also it has a door I'm pretty sure is out to get every student that uses it. xD

Weird building... I can't imagine the common space in basement and ONLY accessible from outside.

Ummm... that's difficult. It sounds weird but... they're pods with tiny hairs on them (kinda) and you pop out the fresh soybeans (kinda ovaly-shaped) and eat them. The beans inside are soft, somewhat slimey but they have a texture much like any other bean... but the taste is awesome - mild, kind of nutty... Plus I coat the pods in salt and suck out the beans so they're kind of salty too.

However.... looking back on what I just read... that sounds disgusting. O.O It's really not, though... you should give them a try! XD

Every student with a key to the common room/ kitchen at least. It's our MCR (Middle Common Room) and is reserved for postgraduate students.

It is a weird building... It's on the side of a hill so technically this place is a basement room AND a first floor room, but I just call it a basement because that's how I always approach it. Basically the common room/kitchen is to one side of a breeze way so people who don't live in our building can use that path up the hill.
