Ivan smiled and wings appered on his back "fly sounds like a great idea"

Karina let her wings out too and sprang into the sky, gliding on a current of warm air. I love flying, She thought, blissfully.

Ivan shot into the sky after her and flew next to her happly

"Don't you love flying?" She asked her new and blessedly winged friend. "I just can't get enough of being up in the air."

Ivan smiled "I love flying, but I dont get to do it much since I have to stay hiden."

"Yeah, me too." She sighed ruefully. "You can really find anywhere isolated enough to do it for long." She remembered when she had accidentally flown over a town. What a mess.

Ivan smiled "I wish I could just stay in the sky forever"

"Me too." Karina said, smiling at the thought. "But my wing always get tired or I pass a town or a city. Always something in the way. But I still wish. What's the highest you've ever flown?"

Ivan smiled "I have flown up a little bit above the clouds" he said happly then looked at her "what is the highest you have flown?"

"Well, one time I accidentally almost crashed into a plane. Big mistake." She smiled ruefully at that memory. "Not a good move on my part but it was the highest I've gone.

"i see well at least you didn't crash into it, that would have been a mess" Ivan said as he looke dat her

"Yeah," She laughed nervously. "That would have been much worse." She paused and looked at her companion. "So, you've been spotted by humans before?"

"yay I have more the just a few times too." he said as he flew and remembered how many times he has been spotted

"Ah, well" Karina smiled. "It's not so bad. Imagine being a full dragon, though! You'd never be able to go ANYWHERE!"

Ivan chuckled "yay your right but being in full dragon form is a lot more comfortable." he said with a smile

"Well, some times it's hard for me to hold being in vampire form, my whole body feels like it's going to explode from holding my dragon form. That's when I never stay in towns long." Karin looked down sadly, wishing humans didn't overpopulate things like they did.

Ivan nodded agreeing "ysy your right it does feel like its going to explode but we have to stay in vampire form to blend in with everyone so that we aren't hunted down" he said as he looked at her

"Yes, I know. But sometime it's soo hard to resist. I just want to give in but, hey, that's life." She smiled at her new traveling companion. "So... how old are you?"

Ivan smiled at the question "I am 58 years old" he said happly then looked at her "how old are you?"

"I'm 56." Considering they were vampires they were practically twins; vampiric ages usually varried by centuries or at least decades. "Wow, we're pretty close in age."

"yay we are" Ivan said with a smile "so how has your life been so far?" he asked since life for there kind was hard

"Not so bad, to be honest." She smiled. "The only part I have a hard time with is feeding. I hate it! I feel awful when ever I kill someone but there's no other way. Some times I just want to die but, of course, I can't. I've tried more times then I like to mention to kill myself but... it never works."

Ivan chuckled "yay killing yourself doesn't work and yay feeding can be a problem. But then again I usually feed on animals then Human since it is easyer."

"You can feed on animals?" She asked , shocked. Then she felt stupid. 56 years and you never thought of that? I mean, they have blood too! "I didn't realize there was an alternative to killing people!"

"yay but animal blood will never tast as good as human blood." Ivan said as he looked at her
