Jake looked at his sister and began to get angery "yeah, the only reason i don't get seen alot is because im studying and inventing things, like... that crossbow that fires 10 arrows with the same percision as one" he said as he looked chuffed with him self "if you were to actually have spent some time with me you would know what i am really like, but now you don't even know what your own brothers like... how does that make you feel sister?"

Amethyst shrugged. "I feel fine." She admitted with a smile. Getting down she looked at him and patted his shoulder. "I know what you do I'm not stupid at fist I thought you just slept with the maids and then I found out it was a little odder than that." She joked laughing some before patting his shoulder again. "I'm only joking Jake, I'm only joking." She said before he got really pissed at her. She loved making him angry. "Let's get going before we're late." She said tying her horse to the back of the carriage so she'd follow and getting in. A smile on her face.

Jake was still very angery "your are really getting on my nevers" he said as he became red with anger "i would rather walk there now, sod getting in the same carriage as you" he said as he walked closer to the front "stupid sister... stupid jokes" he grumbled to himself

"Aw don't be like that Jake." Amethyst said getting out. Sighing as she looked at her older brother she couldn't believe what she was going to do. "Jake...please don't be mad at me." She said grabbing his arm and making a pouty face up at him. "I would really feel bad if my big brother was angry at me before I was shipped off somewhere." She muttered softly looking down sadly. "Please don't be angry at me.." She said softly. She was good at guilt trips but she sort of meant it this time.

Jake tried to ignore her but he couldn't "ohhhhh... fine" he said as he looked at her "you mustn't say im less popular then you though, and don't ever call my work weird, i know they are experiments... but they are not weird, understand?" he held his arms out for a huge "come her shorty" he joked and smiled at her

Amethyst nodded. "Ok I promise." She said walking over and giving her brother a hug. "I'm not that short." She stated with a frown. She was shorter than almost everyone in her family but she didn't like to brag about it. "I'm vertically challenged." She stated with a grin. A joke about herself this time. She held onto her brother for a second longer before hiding her face in his chest. "I don't want to go but I have to...can I claim to be sick?" She asked him. She had been asking him this very question since she was a kid. It'd stopped around the time she started exploring outside the castle.

Jake looked at her and let a tear run "no, im afraid you will have to ask mum" he then looked at his sword "or i could cut you, then say that you are unable to go" he hugged her harder "other than that... you will have to go" he said as he looked at the sky "only mother can say if you go or not, since fathers not here"

Amethyst took in a deep breath and shook her head. "She'll say I must go, we have to keep the balance... No I think I'll pass on being cut thanks, this is my favorite armor." She said before giving him a tight hug and pulling back making sure it didn't look like she had shed a tear. She made sure her armor looked right and nodded getting in the carriage. She could fake being sick, she could be on the verge of death and she'd be sent to the kingdom of whomever to be healed before being married. It didn't matter. She pulled herself together before her mother saw. The woman felt bad as it was. She wasn't one to show weakness by crying so she tried to keep herself from getting worked up again.

Jake looked at the sky and gryed a bit "well, this 'keeping the balance' thing is a stupid wreck" he sobbed before pulling himself together "stupid thing... why must they mess around with peoples familly" he grumbled getting into the carriage and sat there sulking and tried not to cry again

Amethyst looked at her brother. "Pull it together, you're a horrible influence." She joked lightly. "Really though a man crying isn't an attractive thing." She said with a nod as if she knew anything about it. She was back to her perky self though her eyes where sad she tried to look fine. "This is going to be fun relax."

Melta shook her head at her son. He had been gone long enough, she didn't know him well anymore. She began walking, having never liked carriages. One reason she was thankful to have wed her husband, the prince of Wind. They had no need to ride carriages, instead taking the wind there. For all her years there, she wasn't as adept with wind magic as she was with dark but she still was able to fly with the rest. She sighed, having found the meeting spot, greeting the men and women that would escort them, and of course, her love. She was anxious because it had been some time since she had last seen her brother, the King of the Dark, or her sister-in-law. She hoped the meeting would go better than it had last time. And she would get to see her niece and nephew. "Our son will be joining us soon. We may leave without him at the present." The king nodded and they all took out their fans, her own being the only one that was metal and bladed. They all lifted into the sky and began the journey to the Meeting.

Lair smiled as they flew. He urged Salazard down. He was flying now near the carriage that held his wife and his eldest child. "Kaida, can you tell me when dragons first began to fly our skies once we came here?" He often liked to quiz his children, especially Kaida when she was in a mood. Usually it helped though sometimes not. But he needed to make sure that his children were well versed in fighting, fire and academics.

(I won't post more yet then :P I read the update and I was wondering if you could explain it more in the OOC or something because I'm a little confused about what the marks are about and what all of that means with the wind and water kids. :) )

Shin watched his father and smiled some. At least he wasn't being quizzed at the moment anyway. He dove down and his dragon flew under the carriage so he could get close to bodies of water and run the dragon's feet through them. Sighing happily as he ran a hand down the dragons scales and was gentle as to not hurt the creature.

"Way before your time old man," Kaida replied smartly as she crinkled her nose at her father. Finally she just rolled her eyes knowing she wasn't going to get out of year. "They flew over at the end of the marriage ceremony between the first King and Queen of our land," she recited though it was in much less detail than her brother could have given it. She didn't care though; academics were her brothers thing, hers was the fighting and she made that well known. Sighing the girl craned her head to look out the window. She was not wanting to keep up the quizzing very long, she never did. She was told that the gardens were not far from their home, much as it wasn't from anybodies. At this point she just hoped they were much closer, or that they were there already. It was still dark though so Kaida knew she wouldn't be able to see beyond the smoke so she sat back in her seat with a huff.

Shin heard her father quizzing his sitter and flew close to the bottom he and his sister had a way of doing this. He'd knock the numbers on the bottom of the carriage or wall or whatever and she'd have the year. He sighed and thought for a second. It was year one for the kingdom. So he knocked one...and it was year 603...he thought anyway and knocked in the last numbers the pause between one and 603 would let her know which was for which. He held his breath to see if he was right. Shin had to move down so he didn't cause the carriage to rock anymore.

Kaida rolled her eyes though it could have just as much been directed at her father as it was to Shin's first response. "I'd really appreciate if you wouldn't treat me like some brainless child father," she retorted bitterly. "And besides it was the year 603. Anymore questions because I think we're getting close?" Not far off in the distance a great array of colors were coming closer. They weren't anything like the princess had seen growing up with all the fires and everything. No, not at all. Everything was bright, green and lush, well for the most part. There were other bright colors that made up the flowers, trees and everything. Even being a goddess the sight still awed the eldest girl.

Shin chuckled softly and then saw the gardens a head of them. He leaned forward and his dragon flew a head of everyone. He was eager to arrive. It would be fun to see all the plants. He'd brought a book to sketch and write everything he found out about plants here in. It wasn't a vacation for him but a learning trip and a trip to find out who he'd spend the rest of his life with of course.
