((Okay. Lol. Makes sense.))
Sadie took a step back. "Who are you? WHAT are you?" ((If Squirrel's character IS human, I can edit that.)) |
((lol how do you take Albel's hand when he's curled up freaked out by almost hurting Sadie himself?))
|
((o.O Let me edit that...ahaha))
|
((I'm not human. Yay for being not human!))
The eyes gave off a look of enjoyment. "I go by Cyres, and what I am is know to only a few. This will include you three in a few seconds." He said, before the eyes darted down the stacks of boxes and stepped into the lamp light the reveal a black lion. There was red on it's ears, tail, and paws. He retracted his claws and took a step foreward so he was wihin lunging distance of all three of them. |
Albel finally picked his head back up and glanced at the lion before groaning again, "Are you freakin' kidding me?" He buried his face in his arms again, "Give me a sec. I need to get my head to stop spinning..." He wasn't much affected by the lion just yet, maybe because it hadn't sank in yet? Either way, his head was spinning like hell and he couldn't concentrate at all.
|
Sadie couldn't believe it. This creature thing was a lion? What was a lion doing in that house?! Sadie was wondering if she was just hallucinating, but Albel saw it too. Sadie had to make sure anyway. "Uhm...did you just say you're a LION who lives in this HOUSE?" After the words came out of her mouth, she realized how stupid she sounded. Of course he was a lion. She had eyes, didn't she? He was obviously not a human. Then she wondered if he was like the guard lion of the house. "Could you please explain...what...you, er...do here?"
|
Cyres groaned and rolled his eyes. He'd goten the same reaction hundreds and hundreds of times with hundreds of teens. But most would have run around screaming by now. His attention turned to Albel.
"No I am not kidding you," He turned to Sadie "Yes, I am a lion. I do live here and I keep the ghosts out of the boxes. They always end up taking the lanterns of some of the china and scaring the living daylights out of your teenagers." He said with a slight grin, his tail flicking back and forth tentivly. |
Sadie became confused with Cyres's answer. "So you protect the boxes from the ghosts? Wait--there are GHOSTS here?!" She questioned, frightened. Then she realized something. "Wait, I kind of already figured that there were some type of spirits here...but why do they want what's in the boxes?" She was relieved now that they had someone on the inside to help them. At least he wasn't going to try to kill them. So who was that guy who jumped out and attacked Albel?
|
Anna sat down on the wooden floor and put her head in between her knees. This could not be happening. "I'm pretty sure the living daylights have already been scared out of us," she muttered under her breath.
|
Cyres shook his head.
"The older ghosts from the 1800's still think floating lanterns are scary so they come and nab a lantern every night and run around the streets like idiots. I swear there going to drive me mad." He said and began to pace. At Anna's comment his ears pricked up. "Already? Well you humans are getting easier and easier to scare." He said in an amused tone. |
((lol Cyres didn't attack Albel some random dude I completely forgot I made did XD))
Albel took one last breath before looking up again, "Oh, wasn't talking about you being a lion, that's pretty cool, my head made me think there were...err...three of you." He scratched the back of his head before getting shakily back onto his feet, "Sorry about the china." he mumbled. Then he paused, wait a sec. He looked back at the lion and blinked, then he looked to Sadie, then to Anna, and then back to Cyres again. He sat back down, "Haven't you told them floating lanterns aren't very frightening anymore?" |
"How old IS this house?!" Sadie wondered. It must've been here since Columbus "discovered" America! "So...they steal YOUR lanterns and be retards? That's all they do?" She thought that they would probably do something worse. But what other things do ghosts do but scare people? Wasn't that the point of Halloween? Sadie shook her head. "I wouldn't think that it was that simple." She paced with Cyres. "So if we just try to leave, they'll let us?" Then she thought of something else. "But we can't see them, can we? Can YOU see them?" She asked even though she knew the answer to that last question was probably a "yes".
|
Cyres nodded.
"Yes to all of those but the how old this house is. It is definetly an old house at least two hundred years. Please stop stressing your words. The pitch makes my ears ring." He said ending an a slightly annoyed tone before flattening his ears. ((Got to go. See you three in about 11 hours!)) |
Sadie took a step back. "Sorry. I guess that's why you like being hidden? Less sounds?" She guessed stupidly. Then she turned to Anna and Albel. "That's great. So we can just walk out." She smiled. They should've just went down there sooner. Now they had a way out! There was actually no need for the breaking of the window in that previous dramatic episode. Sadie turned back to Cyres. "The..." She still had a little trouble saying the word "ghost" knowing they actually existed. "The ghosts aren't going to try anything...that might...scare and or hurt us?"
|
Cyres nodded to the frst two questions.
"As long as you don't run into the lanterns you'll be fine." He said. |
Sadie was so happy when Cyres said that. "Do you know what that means?" She asked Albel and Anna. "We can just walk out if we don't walk into lanterns. We can just go."
|
"Doesn't that seem a little too...easy though?" Albel asked. He sighed, "If it is then that's great, let's just leave." He leaned his head back, "Just lemme rest a bit, I'm sleepy..." he mumbled, eyes sliding shut.
((if we just leave...then the roleplays just basically over isn't it?)) |
((The house could time travel and stick them in the past? Mabye when the house was surrounded by forest. Then it could get into this whole we need to find a way back. But you could only visit the house once, so they couldn't use the house to get back home.
Or when they got out there the only ones who have ever gotten out and things that live in the house are after them to keep word of what happens inside from spreding. So they'd go about their daily lives while dodging demons in human fourms while trying to still seem normal.)) Cyres just blinked and lay down, his eyes scanning the room for any signs of the ghosts trying to get back into the storeroom. He knew it was to late for a visit from those floating demons but it never hurt to keep your guard up. |
((That's true...so...I think one of us should die. Lol. Jk. But we have to think of some type of challenge to keep it going. I'll leave that up to you. Haha xP))
"Yeah," Sadie agreed, "It does seem a little bit too easy. There's a reason why that door shut when we were back in that room." She pointed at the opening in the ceiling of the hidden room. "Albel, do you really want to sleep in a house with ghosts in it? Come on, we need to find a way out of here." Sadie tried to stay calm and not enunciate or yell because you Cyres' reaction to niose. "There's no time to rest. Just...stick it out until we find a way to get out of here." |
((*Pulls out a big binder labled Role Play twists* I actually have one of these. Let's see... Horror... Mystery... Trapped... House... Eascape... Challange escapees... Yay I got nothing. *Rubs ack of neck*))
Cyres sighed and tsked. He chuckled to himself. He'd been the one to close that door earlier. He'd slept in the attic and had worked his way down, closing doors on his way. "It won't hurt to let him rest for a few minutes." He said as he closed an eye. |
Sadie bit her lip, nervously. "But Cyres, you're absolutely sure we'll be able to get out?"
((I'll try to think of something...Maybe new ghosts could come and they're the type to try to hurt people? Or...er...I really don't know. One of us needs to think of something...Maybe in the attempt to escape, they find another group of teenagers who just entered the house or something. I bet we'll figure something out eventually, though. And could we skip to when Albel wakes up please? There's not really much to do now, is there?)) |
Cyres nodded.
"Everything, even the house goes to sleep at dawn. If you three can stay alive until then it should be fairly easy to get out." He said. |
Sadie nodded. Dawn was at around...six-thirty. She checked her phone. It was almost midnight. Luckily they found Cyres or else they would have the living daylights scared out of them. Then something kicked in. Cyres said, "If you can stay alive." Sadie instantly decided to question that. "What do you mean by: 'if we stay alive'? We could die here?"
|
The lion did what looked like a shrug.
"Nothing will... well mabye the vampires and the demons. Besides them nothing is going to kill you. It's the house that will do it. Floors that rotate when the doors are closed so people thing the house changes, door that drop out into nothing, rugs that cover a hole in the ground that leads to the concreat floor three stories down. So yes. But I know this place like the back of my ha... paw." He corrected himself mid word. If he was human he probably would have whipe fake sweat from his forehead right about then. Well that was close. He though to himself. Cyres wanted to ask a few questions. "How long have you three been in here?" He asked. |
Sadie actually believed that there were vampires and demons in the house. I mean, if there were ghosts, why not? but it was still bad! They were going to try to KILL them! The house itself seemed pretty scary, though. Maybe they would get Cyres to follow them to lead a safe way out...but then he would leave his place unguarded and they couldn't make him do that. So Sadie asked, "Vampires and demons? Where are they? So we can...you know, avoid them. And do you perhaps have a map of this house? I know it's unlikely, but I was just wondering." Then she answered Cyres's question. "Since about...nine o'clock. So about..." She counted the hours. "Two hours and forty-five minutes."
