First vision of tomorrow ;)

We're looking at changing the logo to be a little more general and let new users make their own decision about what the site is about. We also want to get away from the Josh/Lee era of making the site look like it's designed for 12 year olds and we want to make the first impression of the site something that people aren't ashamed to show their friends and family.

Trying to do all of this is quite the difficult task, and to make it harder the name 'menewsha' takes a bit to get used to. So here is one of the test logos we think covers a lot of our goals. It's general enough that it can relate to any feature of the site, it doesn't make anyone ashamed to be here, it's easy to remember, and lastly it's easy to accept for an older age group.

The mene logo kinda looks like a half an M&M...and really doesn't represent mene at all. Imo

I don't have a negative response to hearing that at all. Being earthly and going back to nature a bit isn't a bad thing at all imo.

It doesn't necessarily have to represent menewsha, it just has to avoid any negative stigma newbies could associate with it.

I'd still like to see a bit of Menewshan personality in the logo, but I have no suggestion at the moment how to make that happen.

I meant that it has none of the diversity nor personality Mene does...that's all. It's kinda bland. *shrugs*

I'll post my thoughts of the logo another time.

But, it can (hopefully) be put on any product without confusing anyone. If for example yan was to start a blog with his brand of humour over it, using the existing logo would make no sense. With a logo like above it wouldn't matter at all.

Maybe add a silhouette of a "mature" Yumeh next to it?
