Frost gazed at the strange being as she lessened to him still not understanding how she got there in the first place and wandered who this Lady Avada was the strange man was speaking of. "One who is Lady Avada and where is Foxton Woods located? What am I suppose to do here?" She said as she crossed her arms not liking how this day was turning out of her. "Am I security? Or what is my job here? Though I guess you wouldn't know would you. Your not Lady Avada and since I am to be working for her I should ask her."

Coz laughed, "Well you're sharp! Surprizingly clam too. I suppose that's expected though... if our intel is right anyway. It normally is though... so boring." He spaced out for a moment and faded phisically as his attention wavered. Shaking his head he regained his appearance and focused back on his guest. "Anyway, the boss lady should be by sooner or later and then you can discus your future with her." He smiled in a sort of conspiring way, "Feel free to attack her like you tried with me. I honestly think she needs a little pick me up. She won't be mad either, I promise!"
Coz then seemed to flicker out of existance, but then remembereing something poked his head back in through the wall. "By the way, the demon will still be there till Avada sends him off and I'll be lurking as well, so I really suggest you just chill out here till Avada gives you the terms of your survival." With one last cheery smile he vanished through the wall. |
Frost glared at the being from beneath her hood. First rule never attack a opponent unless you know them better than you know yourself. She didn't know who this Avada was and didn't to much like the being that kept giving her the strange smiles and suggestions. He would never make it as a informant with his lack of conversation skills. He never really answered her question just beat around the bush about them.
She walked to the chair at the far end of the room and to her set as she closed her eyes facing the door. Avada was the boss around this strange place so there was no need to waste her time and energy with the grunts. Her questions she would save for the one person who could answer them. Though she had to admit she did like the strange spirit in a odd way. |
"Really? That's neat!" Gretta found that the more she practiced her self-control the easier it became, maybe one day she'd be able to only speak when spoken to! But right at the moment that seemed far off and almost impossible. "Oh, but," she paused, and blushed. Should she really say? "I'm fine with anything you want me to do, just please don't send me off to a company that has anything to do with squeaky noises. High pitch sounds are one of my pet peeves."
She flinched as if this confession would cause her new boss to burst out laughing or fire her or anything else at Gretta's expense. {Bah, bored, Imma make Kage do some'n! XD} To his surprise, Kage awoke finding himself sprawled out across the hardwood floor of his bedroom, his head pressed up against the door sill. Berry juice was smeared across the room like blood in a crime scene, even more of the stuff stained his skin and clothes, making him the metaphorical victim. Besides the blue-black smudges, melted whip-cream had found itself seeping into the already filthy pillows and disheveled blankets. He wasn't used to sleeping as a human. Even after so many years, Kage still had trouble believing that he didn't have to sit still as he slept, there being so little room in a customary nest for him to move in without falling off. Did humans move as much as he did while they slept? They would if they had as vivid dreams as he did. But then again Kage knew nothing of humans, much to his disappointment. Ever since he stumbled across art, he had been fascinated with the creatures. Kage knew of no race of beings that had such a myriad of different ways to express oneself so beautifully, demon or otherwise. With one last look at the chaos that was his bedroom, he moseyed over to his living room of which would probably distill disgust into any fussy mother with equal magnitude of the rest of the house. Tip-toeing about the empty cans of spray paint, broken pens, stubby pencils, and other whatnots, he plopped himself down onto the couch. Here he made to sleep some more, but his attention was diverted by something... something shiny. True, many things in his house was shiny, but this was special. The way it sparkled in the sunlight that filtered through the ink-splattered windows, it almost looked magical. That was it, he needed this. With the utmost care, as if a hurried gesture or over-exaggerated action might make it disappear, Kage slunk over to his precious. As he got closer he was able to identify it- a broken piece of glass! Placing it in the open palm of his left hand, he used the other to steady himself as he trotted towards the back of the house, never really taking his eyes off of the shiny, except for when he had to open the old wooden door next to the garage. A chill burst of air engulfed Kage as he descended the steps that led him into a roomy darkness that soon too wrapped it's opaque arms around him in a welcomed embrace. Welcomed because (1) he had a penchant for dark, cool places and (2) this room itself was spectacular. For when he flicked on the lights, that we arranged in such a way that they shone with the focal point of their light being the center of the room, the entire place came alive with the beauty of his collection. Bottle caps, brass buttons, tin foil, quarters, nickels, you name it! Anything that had shined, that had sparkled, Kage had stolen away into this basement. Arranged in neat rows, each being able to shine with it's own unique radiance, he witnessed the awe-inducing gathering of shinies that together created an aggregation of extravagance. For several moments all he could do was stand there, unable to accomplish anything but become lost in the overwhelming dazzling array of finery. Finally he became so moved that he had to sit down as he tried to deal with the light-headed feeling he had now. And without knowing it, he gripped the piece of glass so tightly that blood began to drip down the fragment. |
