Falina shrugged and stared out into the stormy world out her window. "My senses are saying another few hours," she said as her hands still clutched his shirt, jumping once more at another crack of thunder.
He wouldn't mind another few hours of this at all, he'd actually enjoy it, he was just enjoying not being alone during this, then he'd just be bored, but now he was having a good time, other than the fact that she was basically on top of him. "I just hope that no one dies in this storm, I'd rather not have to lead the dead to where they are suppose to go safely, I'd rather they stay alive longer."
Falina opened her eyes once more and slowly looked up at Angel. When her eyes met his, she gave a soft and sad smile. "A shame how all things must come to an end," she murmured sadly. "But I think it's a blessing to have an angel, such as yourself, help guide them. In my eyes, you do your job well. I've seen you before...just always feared of actually talking to you. I always thought you were like the rest. Angry, distant, and mean..........But you're not," she said in a far less-sad voice with a hopeful edge to it.
"Yeah, I believe the dead are lucky to get me, instead of one of the others, I've seen how they are with the dead, and it's a wonder the dead don't just stay here in fear of them, it really is." he says. "I try my best, I find that the dead have had a life of pain so they will appreciate me if I'm nice to them and talk to them about happy memories, I find it helps them feel better about going to the other side, thank you, and I've seen you do your job, your very good at it." he says looking into her eyes, liking what he saw in them.
Falina smiled all the more, feeling her cheeks get hot once again. "Do you have any happy memories?" she suddenly asked randomly, so suddenly curious to know all the more about this Angel of Death before her, within his arms, their faces just inches apart. She never wanted this moment to end.
"Yeah, I've got some, I live as any other creature, good times and bad times, so I have good memories and bad ones." he answered. "The happiest one is my oldest memory, I can't remember all the details either, but it's the most memorable, if that makes sense." He didn't want this to end, he liked how they were, together, her in his arms, he wanted to get to know her better. "And do you?" he asked her.
"I have one...but it's rather silly. It was when a deer had come to me when I was out picking berries two spring's ago. She was a strong and lovely doe. And with her she had a little young one with her. They were so gently and cute. They were just passing through though. I fed them some berries and they left. Haven't seen them since. They were probably taken by hunters," she said as she shrugged. All good things come to an end from time to time. She then rested her head upon Angel's chest, listening to the continuous but not strengthening thunder and the rain patter into the placed buckets and against the roof and the leaves of the trees surrounding the hut.
He felt her place her head on his chest, and felt a different feeling than he really was used to, he was starting to really like her. "That sounds like it must have been great, very inspiring, yeah, it's the cycle of life, that's why you and I are needed, in my opinon all the other Angels of Death can die." he said. "We could do the job well, and have the Earth managed very well, but I won't kill off my own kind, even if they did so to yours, that's why I stay here on earth, I don't like my own kind, it's sad really." he thought of a happy memory he had. "I can remember when my dad, or who they told me my dad was, taught me archery, it's strange, but it works for happy, and one time I was target shooting and I met some other angels, who weren't angels of death, and we became friends, we shot for a bit, and hung out, got to know eachother, than when I was older, I was told that friends would only slow me down so I couldn't hang out with them., but I did have friends." he finishes. "ANd I'm sure we will hang out too, I hope."
Falina closed her eyes and let out a sigh, still clutching his blouse. "I think that should be against all laws to be unable to have friends. I was actually encouraged to make friends. But because of my hair color and eye color, it was impossible. At least the animals on this Earth see my soul and not my appearance," she said as she then opened her eyes, finding herself looking at the window from across the room. The storm was still what it was an hour ago. But she could sense it's end within the next hour. But she really didn't want him to have to go. "I'd love to 'hang out' with you whenever we can," she then told him.
"That sounds cool, yeah, people don't like the job i do, no matter how I get it done, they fear me with out understanding me, like you seem to." he says. "Anytime you want I'm just in town." he says. He notices the storm still raging on, not wanting this time to end.
Falina slowly nodded her head and then she found herself looking up at him, their faces inches apart once more. Then her mind wondered to one of those movies she saw in the 'movie theater'. Of how the average ideal 'romance' involves touching of lips. She then wondered how that would feel, but she wasn't finding the guts to actually find out.
He smiled at how she was looking up at him. "What are you thinking about?' he asked curiously. He remembered a movie he had seen with his friend when he had friends, it was a romance, wondering if that was what she was thinking about, if she was thinking about how they kissed, as his friend told him it was called, he was a human, he didn't know why they saw that movie, hestill doesn't.
Falina blushed ever so brightly as he asked her that question. "This," she replied as she reached up and slowly pressed her lips against his, hoping she was doing it right.
(sorry for the short post!) |
He blushed and kissed her back, having some practice with it, but not much, showed her through example how. He wraped his arms around her and brought her closer gently to him, feeling the warmth from her body through her clothes. He didn't want this moment to end, it was the most amazing he had experienced, and it was only the more amazing by her being with him, he now realized just how much he liked her.
((it's okay, happens to all of us.)) |
Falina was expecting Angel to pull away, but she felt shock run through her when she felt him wrap his arms around her and bring her closer to him. She let out a soft sigh within their kiss as she then kissed him again. She wanted so badly for this moment to never end. She was having the time of her life. She really liked this guy. A lot.
Angel noticed her sigh and smiled as much as he could without interupting there time, he kissed her back and it felt amazing, he really didn't want this to end now. All he could think of was this moment in time, he forgot momentarily, about the storm and his job and what he was, feeling the pure blissful happiness of they're kiss.
After the kiss, Falina curled up in Angel's arms and nuzzled his neck. "I don't remember ever feeling this before," she told him.
"I don't either." he told her. His thoughts were still a bit jumbled from they're amazing kiss. He didn'teven remember the storm outside.
Falina straightened her face for a moment and then smiled again, looking up at him once more. "I love it. I've never felt so...so happy before!" she said as she slid off, grabbing his hands to pull him up with her. "The rain just stopped. I love it when it had just rained...want to go for a walk?" she asked him, feeling like a child all over again.
"Yeah, sounds good." he says getting up. He liked to talk walks too when it just finished raining, liked to see the rainbows too, they were cool, he hoped they'd see one.
As soon as Falina and Angel had stepped out of her hut, the air was humidified, but breathable and comfortable. She then gently wrapped her hand around his as they began to walk. "There's this really beautiful spring nearby. The waterfall there is just gorgeous after it rains," she told him as she began to lead him there. Maybe a nice swim would feel nice.
The wet grass beneath her feet felt comfortable and strangely relaxing. She looked up at and smiled at the sun that was trying its hardest to break through the storm clouds. |
"SOunds good, but seeing you, I bet it doesn't compare, but you'd know better on that than me, anything that isn't death looks good to me, but now that I think of it, seeing the way the souls look is quite elegant, really cool too." he says. "I think I've heard the waterfall that your talking about, just never seen it." he says trying to think if he did or not.
Falina smiled and quickly pressed her lips against Angel's. "You'll love it. It's me favorite place to be...besides in your arms," she said, blushing deeply. They soon turned off of the path and through some tall bushes came the waterfall and spring she was talking about. It was even more beautiful than the last time Falina had seen it.
Angel saw what she was talking about it was an amazing sight. "It is a beautiful place, so peaceful too." he says. He kisses her back quickly. "But you being her makes it more amazing." he says smiling. He looked around then stopped at the waterfall, so cool, he noticed a sturdy rock at the top before the drop, bove the water, and wondered about getting to it.
Falina moved to the edge of the pond as she slipped her gown off, letting her wings hide her nudity. She looked back at Angel and smiled, diving into the water. The water felt so wonderful and cool.
