Hyena, if you chicken out, I WILL POST MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF SPAM OF YOUR PROFILE!!!!! So no chickening out!

Hyena 02-09-2011 03:43 AM

SHE SAID YES!

Or rather, she didn't say anything. She just put the ring on and tried not to cry.

TaiyoTsuki 02-09-2011 03:53 AM

YAY! *:glomp: Hyena* I'm happy for you!

Hyena 02-09-2011 04:00 AM

And she is SUPER excited.

We're going to have a long engagement so that we can get to a place where we can actually DO this. We'll probably hop up to Canada, spend our honeymoon there, and continue life in (insert state here.)

TaiyoTsuki 02-09-2011 04:10 AM

You two gonna adopt and be parents? Or is that an "I dunno if we will or not"?

Hyena 02-09-2011 04:13 AM

That's a 'further down the road' sort of decision. We're going to decide that once we're tired of raising cats.

Cardinal Biggles 02-09-2011 04:22 AM

The next logical step up from raising cats is... raising polecats.

You aren't going to live in her gran's attic, are you?

TaiyoTsuki 02-09-2011 04:26 AM

@ Hyena: Okie. I can see the reasoning in that: cats are nice and quiet (unless you're unlucky and get a hyperactive one)--well, until you step on their tail--and cuddlier. And with little kids, they tend to grab the cat's tail as a handle, and kitty doesn't like that.

Hyena 02-09-2011 04:31 AM

Oh my. xD

WTF, Monty Python. xD

Well, seeing as her gran's attic doesn't exist, no. xDD

Taiyo: Its more that me and Liz are cat people. Every once in awhile she says "kids are cute and there are times when I want one." But that's normally once in a month and only after she's been helping someone babysit.

TaiyoTsuki 02-09-2011 04:59 AM

Ah I see.

I'm half cat person half dog person. Which sucks because I've got allergies, and what makes it worse is that almost ALL of my family members have a dog.

Hyena 02-09-2011 05:02 AM

I think that after this fiasco with the pit bull, I'm not going to be ready to have a dog for awhile. >_>

Taviren 02-09-2011 03:43 PM

Woah. Congratulations!

Hey, my roomies are married and they're very happy with raising cats (not sure if I should include myself in that or not. They often count me as one of the cats...).

I like both cats and dogs though none of my friends (including boyfriend) are dog people! Growl! And, as of recently, I have now been viciously attacked by members of both species and I still love both species. (Though maybe not those two particular animals.)

sarofset 02-09-2011 09:56 PM

And why didn't you tell me about this thread? *suspicious glare*

Hyena 02-09-2011 09:59 PM

o_o

I may not be the brightest bulb in the chandelier, but... I do believe that being attacked by anything is bad. o_o

The only reason I'm not so up on getting a dog (at least for now) is because my roommate has a pit bull puppy that he pretty much bought on a whim. Its been kind of the source for my misery because he doesn't take care of her and I end up buying her food. He didn't think it through. >____>

sarofset: You never asked.

sarofset 02-09-2011 10:03 PM

Hyena:... *slap* I shouldn't have to ask silly. I plug my quest thread all the time. (oh look there how subtle I am)

Hyena 02-09-2011 10:12 PM

o_o

You slapped me. D=<

-laser vision- DDDDD<

I don't like pimping threads, particularly when the thread in itself is to pimp my comic. It makes me feel cheap. xD

sarofset 02-09-2011 10:30 PM

*lasers bounce off* Well I suppose if it's a double pimp, then it might not be cool, but in the case of some threads, you should tell your friends, so that they can find them. That's all.

That's terrible! You should always think very hard before buying a pet, especially one as high maintenance as a dog. I hate to say it, but if he isn't going to take care of her, he should consider giving her away now while she's still a puppy and has the cute factor in her favor.

sarofset 02-09-2011 10:56 PM

That might not be so easy with a pit. a lot of people have this kind of prejudice against them, as violent dogs. It's bs, but you know, people are dumb sometimes.

Taviren 02-09-2011 10:56 PM

Every pit bull I've met has been very sweet. And they have beautiful paws.

Hyena 02-10-2011 12:36 AM

Yeah, they are sweet loving dogs, but people think of them as being vicious. And we told him that if he should ever need to get rid of her for any reason that it was going to be tough to find a home. They're legal in this state, but that doesn't mean the prejudice doesn't exist. >>

And he was talking about breeding her, which I was like 'oh-hell-to-the-no.' Because: 1, there is NO way he's doing that in MY fourth-floor apartment EVER; 2, he can't take care of ONE puppy, imagine a litter; and 3, his breeder had to sell her at-cost because the market for breeding dogs is saturated in this state, particularly pits. >____>

I have like... a million rants about Joel. But, honestly, I don't care anymore. I want him out asap, but I'll be putting up with him while he's here for the next six months.

Cardinal Biggles 02-10-2011 01:48 AM

What are the circumstances that won't allow you to kick him out, for at least six more months?
/nosy

Hyena 02-10-2011 02:06 AM

He actually does pay rent, so our rent would go up another $50 if he left without paying supplement. Cutting off his food supply was supposed to get him to volunteer his way out of living here, but once he learned that he would have to pay us or face court costs, he started moving his stuff back into his tiiiiiny little room.

But other than that (which we would be happy to pay that extra 50 if it meant that he was gone) there's no reason. We're going to try and see how long he lasts on our no-money-no-food policy. It made Jason and Corrina crack, and Joel is not a tough egg.
