She always had to start the game with a female fire type. And she'd keep restarting the game UNTIL she got a girl.

@ Poppy - I know because I used to breed for female Cyndaquil on GPX+. I was looking for a Rash Female. I never did get one.

Oh my goodness. Girls are hard enough to get, let alone of a specific nature.

What made the rash nature special?
Higher base attack stat?

I've only gotten a female starter twice that I can remember. A squirtle and a torchic.

Awww, torchic is adorable. I think it was that game where I finally picked the water type.
Mudkip was just an adorable little thing!
So even when it wasn't as adorable, and it matured, I loved my little marshtop---> swampert all the same.

Why did it seem like all of the starters from that game had an awkward stage. For Torchic it was it's second stage. It had a pole-like head.
