So I guess it doesn't matter really what day Christmas is on. Seems like seeing family after a long time is sort of like Christmas. Or at least an extension of the holidays.

Makes sense. Without family there's not really a Christmas. At least for the type of people who enjoy family time. For others who don't then I don't know... Maybe some like to be lonely on Christmas.

I do know of one lady who turned down all her invitations to attend her family's Christmas.

My brother and his girlfriend are coming home in March and we are doing a mini Christmas with them and celebrating her birthday.
