Yes, the mafia knew who the other mafia members were. They would talk to one another at night to figure out who to take out. In larger games there are sometimes two detectives who talk to one another before investigating as well.

As a mostly new person to this game I think that this game is probably much more enjoyable in real life. I believe that in the real life game a person gets more hints of who the mafia might be. It's really too hard to come up with "evidence" in a forum environment. The forum environment makes it more likely for the mafia to win then the townies, I think, but I'm not sure since I've never played the real life version. But this game can be fun if you don't take it too seriously and just try to work with it. XD

I knew you were the doc musasgal because of your question and I knew you weren't mafia so my plan today was to convince everyone to lynch you so you couldn't heal yourself and then we would take out 1of the other 2

Heh, I never played the forum version of the game before, and I say, it was really different.

Ideally in the forum versions, the phases would be for several days instead of several hours. However, because we're crunched for time to fit the whole game into one event, we had to cut the phases a lot shorter.
If you'd all like to play a game again, I'm willing to moderate it for you, but it won't count for event prizes. You need at least 9 people for a group with a maximum of 20. If you prefer longer phases, then the game thread would have to be in Community Discussion because it'll definitely run over till after the event. I'll open more roles too, now that you're all more familiar with the game. [:D] |
