I remember growing up I was very extroverted and social and talked a lot to whoever. My parents would tell me to shut up, even. But at some point I just flipped like a switch. Part of that is ADHD and the medication. A girl in my second grade class also really told me off one time when I was talking to her.

I mean, it's one thing for a parent to do it because kids and parents have their own sort of interaction and it clearly had no impact on my child self. I don't remember the incident or my thoughts afterward much at all, but who knows.
